Without a doubt we had some great results today.Mourinhos interview could be interesting.

We're level on everything so Chelsea is top by alphabetical order

just to clarify...

after goal difference the league is decided by total goals scored?

hence why we are entirely level with chelsea.

44 for
19 against

apparently there would be a one game playoff if the season ended now.

Like only letting in 3 ?

I suppose that counts as something in Spurs world though.

Has twhat shitty goal cost us top spot ?

We have identical records down to goals scored and conceded, so yes, it looks like it has. No way will we be allowed to be above them. Bummer

Alphabetical order means nothing. Surprised there isn't another tie breaker eg the old goal average.

Chelsea are top because they are this year's champions, whereas we are once again runners-up like last year to Liverpool. Simples.

In golf the first score in is top. Bollocks to alphabetical order. BBC said 'Chelsea and City are basically tied so Chelsea are ahead-just' LOL. Journalist already making excuses before Mourinho opens his mouth. 4 games in 11 days 3 away is unfair etc. Lack of rotation is Mourinho's choice.

Not until the last day of the season. They might have to notice us then.
Let it continue like this. We're flying under the radar.

It's interesting that Chelsea, who by all accounts have been scoring goals for fun and who had the League title all wrapped up by the end of October, have only scored the same number of goals as we have.

That also takes into account the fact that we started the season slowly with some adverse results along the way, we haven't fully got back into top gear just yet and for the last month we've had no strikers.

Apart from that, Mourinho's miserly, highly disciplined, rigidly drilled defence has conceded the same number of goals as our supposedly shambolic back line.

It's a funny old game and what is even more funny is that we're seventeen points above last season's all conquering heroes from Scouseland.

how alphabetical order can be considered a way to rank teams is beyond me.

it should read:

1. chelsea
1. manchester city
3. manchester united
4. southampton
