I have just watched an advert on ITV about BLM that referenced “white privilege” what the fuck is all that about, I am a pensioner who has worked all my life, I have never taken anything off the state, I have paid taxes and N.I. Contributions all my life, to say I have white privilege is a fucking insult. I have complained to offcom about this, I would encourage all fair minded people to do the same, I find this blm thing very divisive

I also agree that many won't want to voice their opinions on this topic, the fact that this point is correct worries me. Freedom of speech. People can't even say All Lives Matter these days without being branded as racist or right wing. I was reluctant myself to start the thread TBH but felt the urge. I certainly wouldn't put it in my professional Twitter account, and have not yet out it on FB. There's a bit more anonymity here. A few on here have met me, but won't phone my HR department and say I'm racist.

Before responding in some passive aggressive way, you do not know me, my ethnicity etc and so it should be!

All you need to know about me is I am and was born a Man City fan, if you want to judge me, do so on that alone.

I will be speaking to the owners of the site and ask them to delete this thread as I believe it is to the detriment of this site, a Man City football site.

I am sure if you look, there are plenty of other places to vent your spleen regardless of your or anyone's views on this matter.

You are quite right to be careful what you put out there due to the loony cancel culture that exists in society today but thankfully they are now being challenged , more and more , day by day , by normal common sense folk who will not be bullied into submission.

FYI ,I do not have FB or Insta or anything similar - life became much more pleasant once I erased that from my daily routines !!

I posted it because it was football, and the knee ks starting to grate a bit, corporate, insincere bandwagon appropriation. I guess I was triggered by the fact that I was half expecting the knee thing not to happen in FA Cup. Carl has suggested it go to off topic, I agree with that.
Should this thread be deleted? It's mods call, but I don't think it should. I don't think any posts are offensive or bring the fans into disrepute. Some will disagree of course, some will accuse those of questioning the kneeling as an act of racism, or imagine that I am a Daily Mail reader.
