Nevermind that, what system are pe playing?

For my money, it would be Sagna at centre-back, alonside Tosin, with PabZab in midfield.

However, it's Pep, so who knows ........??

So Maffeo would be up front as a winger. Interesting to see that.

Weird also.

Maybe Pep is going to play a 4-3-3 formation (my favourite line-up of all) and abandon the three at the back 'experiment' ??

Had to google. Some kid just turned 16 who plays for U18's. Kid must be buzzin right now.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

WHO IS MANCHESTER CITY MIDFIELDER PHIL FODEN?

At just 16 years and 193 days old, Foden will become the third youngest player to have worn the City shirt in a competitive match behind Glyn Pardoe and Paul Simpson.

He will also become the Club’s youngest ever UEFA Champions League debutant if he makes it on to the pitch in the Group C clash with the Scottish champions.

The midfielder, born on May 28 2000, will also become the fourth youngest to have featured across all of Europe in the Champions League era behind Celestine Babayaro, Alen Halilovic and Youri Tielemans.

Foden has been at the Club since U9 level and has shone as part of City’s unbeaten U18 Premier League side this season. That form has seen him rewarded with the opportunity to make his first team debut in Europe’s elite club competition.

The left-footed playmaker, who can play in central midfield or in a wide position, has scored eight goals in 11 U18 Premier League appearances since moving up from the U16s after signing his scholarship in July 2016.

The youngster’s impressive strike rate has included goals in both the home and away fixtures with Manchester United - with his finish in the final ten minutes of last Saturday’s draw at Carrington sealing a point for Lee Carsley’s table toppers.

It’s not just goals the England youth international offers. His eye for a searching pass and ability to glide past opponents from his usual central midfield berth has been integral to the unstoppable form of City’s youngsters.

Alongside his Premier League duties, Foden has also appeared in City’s UEFA Youth League side as well as starring as England U17s breezed through October’s qualifying round for the 2017 European Championships.

Congratulations

I've seen home a few times and been really impressed by his work rate skill and a natural at being in the right place. Hope he gets on the pitch tonight

Looks like 4-2-3-1 to me, but it could also be 4-1-4-1

Who have Celtic got wide right? It looks like Pep is doubling up our fullbacks on the left.

Irrespective of the result tonight, I just hope all the youngsters do themselves full justice and give Pep a real 'problem' (or, rather, other options) re future team selections.

Those official UEFA ticket touts have been milking the Scots - BT seem to think Celtic have brought about twice their allocation with them.

I'm sure Mase would say that, if Pep was concerned about Celtic's right flank, he would have played Kolarov........

Just as a matter of interest, do we want Roberts to have a good game tonight as, at the very least, it might add to his re-sale value ??

A hat trick in a 4-3 defeat wouldn't be the worse thing to happen

How could I forget about Roberts? He had a good game in their last match (grabbed a goal).

I want him to hold his own, show glimmers of promise, but not do anytime of note.
