No mate, he instinctively through up his right arm and palmed it away. If it was De Gea, Tyler and RatBoy would've been creaming themselves.

Can't tell,but he was in the right place which I think for a GK is the main thing.
He reacted and got his body across, what Joe does as well as anyone in the world highlighted right there.(When he isn't being beaten as his near post by Ribery) Right place yes, but let's not discount the save based on good positioning because there was still work to be done.
