I'll take this being off. Was looking forward to game but better when we have a full squad plus gives players more rest.

Makes no difference about trains out of london being cancelled its a home game for manure!

I'm guessing you're not local either. The only moronic thing is that it took until now to postpone it. From the reports at lunchtime it was obvious what was going to happen.

Just got back in. Why was it not called off earlier, I could have stayed in and had a lovely brew.

So I guess this is good. More rest.

How does this affect our lineup for Saturday? Before this postponement most agreed that the FA cup on Sat had to be the lowest priority over the 3 game stretch. Now, obviously, Barca is the highest priority but what about Sat now?

The rescheduling could fuck us over down the road...

Not good, but on the other hand I could have been in the car I passed on the M60, squashed under a lorry. I feel sorriest for Jovetic, he was completely fit for once.....

Allows saturday's game its proper status for me - the players will be rested so we should play our best eleven and try to kill it off. A draw and a replay would be a worst case scenario (and may suit Mourinho) so might as well play all out attack.

I just think we'd struggle to break down a stubborn lesser team, like the last game. A combination of a weakened team, awful conditions and an up for it Sunderland side trying to prove a point could have been difficult, and i also think we might have picked up an injury or two. Just my opinion personally...I've not had the disappointment of making my way to the game only to find its been cancelled though so its a lot easier for me to accept personally.

More than happy with this news. We've 2 tough games coming up and this will give us that extra bit of breathing space between games. The other bonus is that it now puts us at a better advantage with Chelsea. Everybody was saying that they'll get a rest midweek whereas now we'll have had a rest while they play 2 games in quick succession.

Might be a downer that we don't get to see our game tonight but at least we can take joy in whatever happens at the Library.

Arse lose and we're smiling.

Rags lose and we're smiling.

Draws all around and we're smiling.

What's not to like ;-)

A really heavy defeat would be good. But wouldn't mind them getting something to stop Arsenal opening a gap again

now that this game was cancelled I will be furious if we play a weakened side on Saturday. but Pellers has picked strong teams in the cups so far and I expect him to do so again, especially now.

Wow, they just showed footage from Eastlands and the whole roof was bouncing up and down because of the winds!

This will work in our favour because we'll have our injured players back. Understand that some are pissed off and wanted to get it over with, but this may just be the divine intervention that we needed. This is our opportunity to salvage our FA Cup hopes.

No idea when it could be played - the teams are in both cups, Prem fixtures can't be played midweek in Champs Leagues ones are also on.

On the plus side, gives more time for Aguero, Nasri, Garcia, Fernandinho, Dzeko, Negredo etc to rest/recover from injury.
