A fucking men. If football was only about controlling the ball, all those lasses in the Olympic gymnastics would be world beaters. Lescott's defending against Toon was top notch. He anticipated almost every move and pass they made.

At times it looked like he was playing against u19s with how easy he dispossessed some of the toon players. Also several very well timed tackles with Ben arfa running at him. The anti-lecsott feelings must be sarcastic or some posters are just blind with bias

agreed. 2 bad passes does not a bad game make. His defending was top top class.

'Top top' is never acceptable, however good a point you're making.

It's the sort of verbal diarrhea that spills out of Jamie Redknapp's gob and onto his too-tight suit. Literally.

Saying it is one thing. Writing it is just daft daft.

Dunno Kompany was world class on Monday, he played better than he did all last season. Lescott was great too, much better than what nasty would have done.

I wouldn't say much better than Nasty.

I rate Nasty and Lescott pretty much equally as CB's as it stands. Differences come in there unique styles, Lescott being the physically better CB and Nasty being the technically better CB.

However if you had to choose one, I'd always choose Nasty. Nasty is still growing as a player where as Lescott has peaked. We need to keep on encouraging Nastys growth and as such playing him in every game we can.

Nasty could be world beater if we develop him right.

I would say he was 100% better than Nastasic. Lescott showed why he is worth the £24 million we paid for him. There is a reason that him + Kompany was the best defense in the PL. Mancini was getting ahead of himself to disrupt the best defense in a title winning season.

While Lescott doesn't have blistering pace, he is beyond excellent in winning long balls, crosses, timing tackles, and muscling strikers out of the way. I love Nastasic, but the difference is that when Lescott is on top form, he makes dispossessing attackers look completely effortless (which is probably why some people assume that he doesn't do much; makes it look too easy).

Partnered with an intelligent player who can cover for his lack of pace, he can fit into any world class team team. I think he's almost been as overlooked for England as Micah has. Well, maybe not. Micah has been robbed of at least 50 caps.

No need to be so hasty, think it over for a while. I mean nice bright wrestling outfit with a bit of suit and a bit of biker thrown in. If you wouldn't wear it on Sundays you could just wear it for work, it would fit just nice with your management style, no?

The City star proudly showed off the wares of his Lescott Stewart fashion label – by strutting his stuff on the catwalk at Harvey Nichols last night

Combining a suit with leather biker's jacket. Quality.
