yeah. the wife just looked over my shoulder at the shirts and her only comment was "at least you'll save some money this year."

painful.

wtf is happening with Umbro? Is Nike shuttering the brand?

I would have thought it's just down to brand management. Can't let the upstart become more fashionable than the parent co, even though in reality it has been for a good few years now when it comes to football kits.

It would have been cheaper for them to just tell Umbro to make us shite kits though surely?

Umbro has been a money loser for Nike since they bought the brand. I was excited when they brought Umbro on board. I was even happier when they announced the sale. My stock in the company went up when that happened. Umbro is now owned by Iconix Brand Group since December.

graveyard of horseshit brands. i guess in hindsight anyone worth their salt would be running from Umbro so sticking with them wouldnt have created anything as awesome as these last 3 years of glory days kit wise. end of an era, broken britain,

cheers

If the away is the one from this website I would have a boner. Too bad that gold won't match a set of gold patches. As for the home it looks like the one from Australia so I guessing that's it. A bit plain.

With any luck the shirts will actually be on sale before the season starts this year.

One thing that did annoy me with Umbro was the constant clues and hints about how it would look. It gets leaked every year anyway so just release it straight away.

Plus, it stops me getting really excited when I see some of the magnificent Photoshops that people come up with...such as the White Away one earlier in the thread.
"If we fire our manager after just one bad season - We'll become Chelsea"
"If we think we can fix the problem by buying expensive players - We'll become City"
"If we remember the good times to entertain us during the bad times - We'll become Liverpool"

So, keep calm and do it the United way

"We invest in young players, That is what we are good at — we’re not like other clubs who can spend fortunes on proven goods. We know that Manchester City are going to pay stupid money, pay silly salaries and all that. We can’t do anything about it. We concentrate on what we can do to try to bring players in for the right reasons. We invest in those who will be with the club for a long time, who will create the character of the club, who will create excitement for our fans. We are very proud of that and we are going to continue that way" - Alex Ferguson 14th May 2012

That away kit is awesome. It reminds me of the alternate from years ago that was white with a red and black

What shape of person is the away kit for? Look at the size of head opening compared to the waist.

Isn't this how it happened last year about 2 months before it was "released". I'm inclined to believe it.

Nike are shit. If that black one is real aswell then it is a joke. 2 shades of black? Oooooohhh you wild edgy bastards. That's gonna cause all kinds of debate. Turn the world of sport on its fucking head it will.
