Brian Kidd! Like for like subs (if you include the Richards switch) was a bit of a novelty on Tues :-)

This pretty much, add purposeful passing in front of players and not to or behind feet and lots of movement off the ball.

Top 3 in PL
Top 2 in CL group
Play attractive football
Unite the squad
Get a academy product or two to work as a part time player
Cooperate well with the rest of the MCFC organization

I think thats what the board wants this year.

All this talk about this fella, since he was mentioned I had been looking at his pedigree over the years and only just bothered to look at his/Malaga's form this season and I have to say there is NOTHING here that cheers me up! two or three games where Malaga have won by 3 or 4 goals, but have lost quite a few more by similar margins. But you can't compare his Malaga squad to City's squad. Isco is better than some of our current squad but everyone else pales in comparison to the City squad.

Granted, there's the other side of the coin. Aside from the Top 2 and maybe Atletico Madrid, La Liga clubs cant compare to Premier League teams.

To get rid of Mancini and then not have high expectations of the next manager would be totally wrong.

It has to be the PL title and/or escape the group stage at the CL. Anything short of this can only be seen as a disappointment, especially if vast amounts of money is going to be spent as well.

Hard to argue with that. You would think that he would have to go one better than Mancini has done this season which means win the league, win a domestic trophy and chumps league knockout rounds (possibly QF minimum)

It has to be a great showing in the CL and at least make a fight of it for the PL title.Next season will be a lot more fuckign difficult to win it than this season was as it was just us and the Munchens , you can guarantee Chelsea will be more of a threat next season and I wouldnt discount Arsenal as well.

Surely he would have to win the league and get past the group stage right?

Absolutely. Otherwise why get rid of Bob. That just wouldn't make sense.

The new guy will be given everything he wants, but will be expected to bring immediate success.

Yeah we really will sack every manager who doesn't win the league.

Get real ffs.

It was an excuse, because they've decided he's not the bloke they want in the job, just like the Hughes 'trajectory' bullshit was an excuse.

If the next bloke fits the profile & keeps us competitive, they will be patient with him, if not, he will go.
