Hope this isnt true. We cant be so slow off the mark again.

if true, i'd guess that ibra's off again. bobby: please.just.no.

In all honesty if Ibra came to us he would win us a title.. without a doubt. This said he is a tad too old for my liking.

However I will be absolutely gutted if we miss out on Cavani, he would have been perfect in this league and getting the only other world class option, Falcao, will be incredibly tough.

One thing is for certain though, if the movement of the past two days is anything to go by (gotze, cavani), City have to move on their big name targets asap!

We can't afford to have another bad transfer window like last summer!!

Falcao strikes the ball beautifully and he is a clever player. He could easily play at the top level until he is 33/34. He is a phenomenal player who would score a bucketful of goals in this country.

Seems so, reports are Cavani has agreed everything with PSG but a deal has not yet been agreed with Napoli.... however... PSG are gonna to pay the 63 million euro buyout... so no problem there...

Rich bastards.

It's enough to make the cat laugh! It seems we're not even at the races these days when it comes to big-name transfers we seem to be genuinely interested in (if rumours are true, of course).

It's sad really as I think you may be right. Chavs look favourite to sign Falcou and if PSG get Cavani, that's the top two targets gone.
And with players like Gotze already signing for B. Munich, it seems a lot of business is done before the season ends.
We need to throw our weight around a little more in the transfer market if we really want these top players.

Fucking hell, 'David Bechham's' PSG. What a load of shit. And £60 million? The Daily Hitler has surpassed itself today.

I hope so. I would like to see 3 or 4 new players and a few to leave.
I would like to see either or both of the two strikers mentioned and Dzeko to go.
I would also like to see a top class winger like Reus or Sanchez with Sinclair and Kolorov to go.
Then we need another class centre back with either kolo or Lescott to go.
Right back we have Zaba and Richards. Left back we have Clichy and its time to embed the youngsters like Rekik who I believe can play there (I'm open to be corrected there if I have the wrong lad).

How many times have we heard clubs release statements saying that they are not interested in a certain player only to sign him weeks later? Most of the European leagues have been sewn up (in terms of who the champions are) so the press have to find something else to talk about. As the transfer window will be open soon, summer transfers is the only interesting topic currently hence all the contradictory stories doing the rounds. Every transfer story has to be taken with a bucket load of salt until the buying and selling clubs have confirmed the said transfer on their official sites

When looking at the kind of money being talked about, then factor in age and the big "can they do it in the PL?" question, I would leabe them both alone and get Bale instead

I'd like both Bale and Cavani, but perhaps I'm being greedy and overly optimistic

Robert Lewandowski for me proper footballer and ideal for our midfield, Cavani outright goal scorer, do we not have that in Sergio.

I think Cavani can head the ball better.

Watching Dortmund tonight and I have to agree with you. That 3rd goal was pure class. Quick feet, cool head and an emphatic finish. Sign him up Bobby

How about swapping Dzeko and a few mill for Lewandovski?
