Ndj is in the same bracket as mascerano now but needs to be able to get goals to make the step up to essiens level imo

Look up slide tackle in the dictionary and you'll see a picture of De Jong.
The king of the tackle, Sir Nigel De Jong.
If one player is deserving of a new deal it's him (and Vinny too.. two players then)

essien was the previous best defensive-ish midfield player in the world. ndj is at his level and now beyond him. i am absolutely certain i would not swap de jong for any player in this league.

That's the actual beauty to have Bobby Manc as manager.
I reckon few have missed that he pass forward this season and, several times could even have been great assist.
Like tactics or not, Roberto is the best coach and players developer since Nils Liedholm.

5. ignore the cunt. he's on permantent wum mission. only TIDs may know City
You'd need to make a very good psychiatrist in order to guess what next in a eight yrs long line of hatred...
In Roger Ailes/Donnie Drumpf's words: "don't know it for a fact, but many people say so..."
there must be some truth, then!

Have to agree with everybody, NDJ is simply the most important player that City have. I don't think he's the best, but by christ we are a different team when he's not playing. Wolves away and Everton at home testify to this, he loves tackling and defending his defenders, can pass, rarely if ever gives the ball away and seems to have City in his heart.
I would love him to score, but have a feeling it will be a penalty at Bolton to rubber stamp our title. He will never win player of the year because as we know scholes has already won that, but he is well on the way to winning our player of the year.
NDJ is priceless and there is not a team in the world who wouldn't want him, but he is all ours and we should be truly thankful. Definitely a future captain.
Thank you Sir Nigel of DeJong

Another superb performance today by Nigel and he nearly broke his duck! Not an easy chance but felt he could of done better. For one second I thought he was going to take that penny...in hindsight maybe he should!
Oh well, we still wait for that magic moment...
I also love how he acknowledges the fans and actually appreciates our support at the end of each game, not just the mandatory hand clap walking down the tunnel. He really does care about the club, not just his wage packet which I am sure is the case for a number of our current squad.

Nigels reaction to that miss today was made 15x funnier by reading Doug's training reports. I was in stitches.
Tracking back is overrated.
