I know. It's always killing me when we're in them (and usually that's the early rounds lol).
But as a 'neutral' spectator...

Most cryptic thread ever!

Basically: Ghana score, Uruguay equalise, extra time, Uruguay boy sent off in dying seconds of e/t, Penalty awarded to Ghana, Ghana miss it, Penalties, Uruguay win on Penalties with one of the cheekiest finishes you'll ever see.

Hi Garry,I just wanted to shake your hand and ask you a question.I go to COMS as mucha as possible but sometimes I cannot leave the house as Sophie.....sorry..Sophie is my Cat...... needs a carer when Im away and sometimes I cannot find one.
My question is ; Is it possible to bring Sophie to matches at COMS in her kitten box and can she come in for free?

Gillingham 99? That Danish side in Europa fairly recently? Was it Aalborg? I forget.

Love it when you win 'em.

Usually it's from hero to villain...
This time it's the other way around. First you give away a peno in the dying seconds.. but soon after everyone is thanking you for it!

Funny old game this football.

Disgusting from Suarez celebrating his blatant piece of cheating when Gyan missed the pen - should have scored though

That's going to be an interesting discussion I think. Is Suarez a cheater, or is he really smart?

He obviously had to make the sacrifice, if he didn't there would be no chance of them coming back.

So both.

What's wrong with it?
He made a mistake. He got punished (peno & red). The whole team got punished. It's Gyan's fault Ghana didn't win. Imo end of story.

What I object to is him dancing around celebrating as he´s walking down the tunnel - nasty little cnut imo

Wouldn't you have?
Your team had just got a 2nd chance when all hope seemed to be lost. I would've done everything just like Suarez, like it or not. :)

Leaves a nasty taste in my mouth mate but there you go - Gyan should have administered the ultimate punishment but that pen was indicative of his finishing throughout the tournament - dire!

Mistake? A master-stroke that helped his team progress through to the next round I'd say!

all round that was the best game so far ive seen this WC. Both teams were good and both put a real shift in. Have to say i am really impressed with the Ghanains style.. keep on going for it. feel for poor Gyan what a miss for the last kick..

If a City player did that in a major cup final we would applaude him. He took his punishment of a red card and a pen and the guy fooked it up. He did that for the greater good of the team and it's paid off.

Call me old fashioned but I would not expect him to run around celebrating shouting and dancing - I would expect a little humility and a wry smile but not the antics of that snidey little shit

I thought it might be a classic 74 or 78 but the feeling right now is that it could be a joint Nazi affair.
Germany-Uruguay. What a f*cking WC final.
CTID!!
EDIT...
Sorry . I didn't read my history. Paraguay is the country where all nazis went.
Uruguay is more of a liberal country than I thought.
The Germans though...
