Interesting that Silva hasnt been sold yet, and an indication that Valencia are finally letting their assets go. That would be a quality signing.

Not too sure we will end up with Ibra, as Henry is supposed to be fucking off to MLS which would leave them with Bojan, Pedro, Villa, Messi, Ibra to fight it out for 3 starting places over 60/70 games. They will all get plenty of games.

If they want Fabregas &/or Torres they may need the money though.

This post sums Ibrahimovic up perfectly. Also a few things below I think quite a lot of people don't already know.

interisti wrote:
Ahhh the ever lasting story of Ibra (the argument about this guy never ends). People are either calling him the most gifted player in the world or the most overrated garbage ever. Both sides IMO are wrong.

Ibra has his strength and weaknesses and he always had those two sides in him. He is "bit" lazy thats true, slow thats another fact and can be frustrating at times which is true too.

But He has many qualities some of them are IMO pretty unique (and no other striker have them). He has the most impressive vision in the game "period" and for a striker to have that is pretty incredible really. He has a pretty decent goal rate for an "SS" (people tend to forget that he never was a "target striker" so his job always was both to assist and score goals).

There was an article written in the "Marca" newspaper some two months ago showing that Ibra was directly responsible for giving Barca 26 points in the league this season because of either his assists or goals (they didn't count all assists and goals they just counted the decisive ones). And they made a stat where they've showed that he is the 2nd most decisive player in the Barca team this season (behind Messi) and infront of some of they're most important players like Xavi, Iniesta and Dani alves.

He scored (in the knockout stage) the equalizing goal for Barca against Stuttgart when Barca struggled away in germany. He scored two important goals for them again against Arsenal away. He single handedly "in 5 minutes" won them the game against Real madrid in the Classico when even Messi couldn't do anything for 90 minutes.

Not to mention what he did Before moving to Barcelona in his career. To throw all these facts and just say he's the most overrated garbage ever is am sorry a bit Off.
"Like all bullies, they've just found out that there is a much bigger guy in town, someone who is richer and more powerful than their worst nightmare. And this smiling Arabic assassin is intent on stealing all the treasures they've nicked off everyone else, and pulverising them into commercial and footballing oblivion as he does so."

Suppose so, I know there had been talk of Iniesta being used more often on the right wing if Fabregas was signed.

Personally I think Michel Platini should stop them going for Torres, because that would just be taking the piss.

i have seen a lot of his games for Barca this season. While he has undoubted skill, it only seems to come out when he is up for it or when the defenders he has to deal with are no so good or not on the case. It is a bit difficult to pin down quiet what the problem is.. he seems half arsed a lot of the time and looks like he is just expecting things to run for him or his team mates to do all the work and set him up, then at other times ( perhaps cos he gets an easier ride from the oppo ) he takes control and can be devastating. One thing that shows a pattern is in big games.. he really struggles to deliver. He is good at getting in the right posititions and has the strikers instinct alright for being in the right place.. but then seems to waste that ability by a poor touch or poor decision making at that point.. a player that is very frustrating to watch.
Apart form that i think his attitude pretty much stinks, and a lot of Barca fans dont seem to like him for that. If he is not on form he does nothing to compensate for it by working.. just kind of sulks and slows down even more. Barca are fortunate that they can get away with playing with 10 men, cos that is what it seems like a lot of the time he is playing.
Guardiola has recieved some serious flak for bringing him to Barca, particularly as the rest of the team are not really his, so it stands out as his decision that is seriously questionable.

I seriously hope we dont go anywhere near him, he would be a lot of work with no guarantee of any consistency or even capacity to cope in the Prem.. the only guarantee he would come with is not working very hard for the team.

Stay clear City

OH yeah and fuck you guys who claimed I was dreaming the mancini quote, where he said he wanted maicon and ibra in jan.

I found this reference to his quote: 'Mancini had identified Ibrahimovic, along with his former Inter team-mate Maicon, the Brazil right-back, as a primary target for the summer transfer market should City ensure qualification for the Champions League.'

Is that a quote from Mancini? Looks more like a newspaper saying that Mancini had identified...........

I only say that hoping that he wouldnt want Ibra as like most on here I sure as hell wouldn't.

Yeah unfortunately that isnt the direct quote, but that is a comment on the quote. I cant be arsed finding the quote but he definately said that he wants Ibra and Maicon if we got chumps league. Ibra and Mancini respect each other.

I think Ibra is very very likely. The upside is that it could be on our terms and that torres is NUMBER 1 choice and Ibra is just the back up.

Although I cant see how ade and Ibra could play together; whereas torres, ade and tevez may work?

Pray for torres?

Ibrahimovic is tailor made for Italian football. He's not got the legs or bottle for blood and thunder football.

Classy player but he's the central part of a team so we would have to build around him rather than slot him in.

I'd rather build around Tevez.

Mancini knows him very very well though & all his pros & cons. Imo, it's an all or nothing deal for Mancini if he makes that decision. If it comes off it proves Mancini has a better idea of players than we do & has his finger right on the pulse of the PL & who can hack it. If not it proves he's got no idea whatsoever & we know the PL better than he does.

I'd rather he didn't take the gamble personally but if he does, I hope it's a resounding success. It would be exciting to find out. If Ibra could do it in the Prem, I recon I'd love watching it.

Ibra
Tevez

Kaka

Barry Gerrard
De Jong

Luiz Lescott Vince Boateng
Hart

+won't let me space out the diamond+

? Carried away much.

Not sure how Ade would feel about that but the guy will need to man up and fight for his place. Also got AJ and SWP, possibly bellers if we switch it with wingers.

ah right cheers mate - sort of a compound slavo-muslim name.

I like the look of the guy btw, he's not Tevez but fuck me he can play when he's arsed. I'd sign him - I reckon Mancini can get the best from him - but not for the silly money Barca will want.
