yes these last few years it's got out of control. in relation to transfer rumours i get the impression the press will link all players to all clubs in order to cover their bases. for instance it's not enough to say 'gareth bale to united in january', without adding 'city, real madrid, barcelona and arsenal are all set to battle it out with the red devils over his signature. this may not be enough as harry redknapp is prepared to make him the premier leagues highest ever paid player'. then in january he either stays or goes to one of the aformentioned clubs and the sun say they broke it first. rumours don't interest me anymore and i gave up reading newspapers in general years ago. even so if there is a player i like (arshavin for example) i too will still get swallowed up when tribalfootball says 'arshavin to city'.
