£40 for our first semi in how long? Against the rags as well?
You're having a laugh mate...i'd pay double even if I was on the dole with 10 kids to feed
I understand what you are saying mate but some people simply
can't afford £40 for a match. The club don't need the money so I don't understand why they are charging so much.
I think its a good thing that they are struggleing to sell tickets. It might be a wake up call for them in future, not to be such rip offs!! £40 is a fookin lot of money to watch a football match of any kind imo.. I can see why many will think 'stuff payin that, Ill wath it on the box'..

that i don't believe, it's only a fcuking football match ,then again on the dole and 10 kids you'd get more than most earn in a month from handouts !!ha ha
to be trueful it is a lot for a game but we'll have to get used to it from this season on ,by the way whats the going rate for a chumps league match, group stage & knock-out stage?

Cheers Rick, that's telling us that they don't want Rags in our
ends, spoiling the party atmosphere. Well done to the club, I like to be sat with Blues all around getting them singing.
And KK, I know 40 notes is a lot of money, especially when you've got kids, beer and travel to cater for, but this is a semi-final of a cup against United, who definately have a say regarding pricing. If you factor everything in, then 50 notes plus costs for me is well worth the price.

Can understand why they do the points thing but with xmas and recession they should have put it on sale to 10 pts sooner, nevermind it'l sell out and keeps those cockney's out of our end.
Heard a rumour that the mongs are taking in red flares for when we do the lights off blue moon before ko, hopefully stewards nip that in the bud.

Well please, please, please stay away and pull the plug out of your telly as well.
Let's get this right we are charging 40 fucking quid for a semi final against our bitterest rivals for a place in a cup final. Yes a cup final something that we haven't been in for 29 years and if we get through this and they are asking 50 or 60 or whatever price to go to wembley will anybody not go because the price is too high ?

£40 is cheap for a semi, Leeds paid £51 today

Exactly, and they are only third division and took 9,000 to a third round cup game and they were crying out for more tickets

£40 isn't cheap at all. I bought mine immediately they came on sale but if they make a habit of charging those prices for big games I'll simply stop going. As for rags charging £51 quid for a 3rd round FA Cup tie; that's a fucking outrage.

I remember getting robbed at shithole places like Birmingham, Bolton and Wigan for prices like that and that was just for league games.

It is about to become the norm we are now a category A team to everyone we play so the prices we pay will go up as to the cup both teams have to agree, united will of insisted on £50+ and we have had to negotiate with them

So there is a price on our heads? We haven't won anything in 34 years and we are a category A team. How times change.

i cant afford it lads.
i earn a pretty shit wage - chrimbo n NY have pretty mush cleared me out - plus i've already shelled out almost 5 ton on me seasoncard, plus all the releated costs you incur going to the match.
just cant afford another 50 plus quid game.

I know exactly where you are coming from TMIB, I am sure there are many in the same position.
It would have been nice to think that because we are not "in dire need of cash", that we could keep the cost more reasonable. If this continues as a trend over the coming years, the prawn sandwich mob will outnumber the common man in the stands.
