Sylvinho or Lescott or Barry can all cover leftback, so no problem. Kompany can cover CB or Nedum

Right back, Zabs can cover, or Nedum

No big deal to be honest, we can try something new in the next few games. Id still say our full backs usually end up as our weakest link

I prefer Ned at RB I think he been doing okay tbh at the position even though it not his native position. The experience might do him good too. Would be nice to get him to master 2 positions also as he could cover more injuries that way.

MOTD didn't show the challenge on Bridge, which many have said should have been a red. Did the ref blow for a foul?

Has anyone got a clip?

I'm wondering, would a surgery solve his problem for good? In that case it could be something worth doing in the summer (if he's not going to SA)

Perhaps I am too old-fashioned, but I'd want it sorting as soon as possible.

I hope they are both available for selection quickly but I really do not want them coming back too soon and breaking down. We have seen that kind of stuff too often before. We should be able to cope with a few injuries without risking players.

Whilst I'm a big admirer of Zabba, I think Nedum is the safe option to put in at right back. Zabba needs to sort his discipline out. He gives away too many silly free kicks that result in something bad for us.
Sylvinho straight in for Bridge. About fucking time too.

Micah was great for me Bridge very classy on the ball. For me Ned at Bolton to stop Davies bullying the back post defender as he has in past games.

Going to be interesting to see who gets the ball from the back now that Bridge is absent, he has his doubters but he's always there available for the ball

I think Ned showed on Saturday he's no right-back. Played alright there back in the day but to get the wrong side of a striker and then just hack them down, what's that all about? If that was Mad Zab he might have done the same but he would have made sure Drogba didn't get back up!

Glad you said it.
I thought he did decent job defending yesterday but as always his passing and reading of the game was off. I don't want to slag him off but I have been defending him for ages but I am actually thinking that maybe his long term future is somewhere else. I mean yesterday when we got great passing football going on, his general clumsiness on the ball was sticking out like a sore thump.

Let's hope he'll ram that opinion down my throat.

He did ram that opinion down you're throat on Saturday, but you appear not to have noticed. Probably the best game I've seen him play.

About Bridge's injury. If it is sprained/stretched medial ligaments two weeks sounds realistic. If the medial ligaments are ruptured it's six weeks out.
