For me this case has so many flaws there is no way the FA can press charges on Bellamy.
I dont think anything will be done

Supporter charged with Old Trafford pitch invasion
22.09.09 | Ian Ferris
A fan who was pushed in the face by Manchester City's Craig Bellamy has been charged with unlawfully running onto the pitch.
Neither party have made a complaint to police about the clash but the supporter will appear in court later this month over the pitch encroachment.
A Greater Manchester Police spokeswoman said: "A man has been charged following an incident at the end of the match between Manchester United and Manchester City at Old Trafford.
"Jake Joseph Clarke, 21, is charged with going onto a playing area without lawful authority or excuse and will appear before Trafford Magistrates' Court on September 30."
Police said there were no reports of any widespread disorder between fans either at the ground or in the city centre.
Twelve people were arrested at the ground for a variety of public order offences and a further 10 were arrested in the city. A total of 51 supporters were ejected from Old Trafford during

Player hit by coin and pitch invader spits at player - in Spain the stadium would be closed for 1 game - it happens quite often here and they have to play in a neutral venue, therefore I would suggest Vicarage Road or the County Ground Northampton for their next home fixture

Id be disgusted if he gets a 3 match ban. I would hope the pfa would step in as well. Surely it is every top players concern that some mad fucker is going to come from the stands and stab a player one day.
In todays social climate is that scenario really beyond perceptibility?
When it does happen, and believe me it will. Bellamy giving someone who came on the pitch to attack him a open handed slap really wont seem that bad. Infact it seems beyond belief now that you this is even an issue.
I cant help think that if this was anyone other than Bellamy we wouldn't even be discussing this.

Talknig about stabbing, when watching the youtube video of this incident, you can see that the "fan" drops something from his hands when he's tackled by the security guards ... Anyone know what it is - a mobile phone, a knife, an autograph book and a pen?

I presumed it was drug paraphernalia, but we'll never see it again as Rio was first on the scene
Never criticise a man until you've walked a mile in his shoes.
That way when you do criticise him you'll be a mile away.
And you'll have his shoes.

at least the press are reporting it as an open had push and not a big right hook.
The over exageration of what ade did to RVP got him the 3 match ban

TH I think the best part of the story was there was a queue to get out. Must have been fear with all that extra time they would miss the last train back to London.
