3rd Kit Available to Order

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

I like it but If I do get it I'll go into the shop and buy it on a match day or something, easier than ordering it off the net and having to collect it from the delivery depot cos I'm in work when they try and deliver it!

Can't see anything on the OS about it being a limited edition?

On another point why are the club only making merchandise available at the club shop and the Arndale shop?
Was in the trafford centre last week and every sports shop is rammed full of rag shirts but not a City shirt to be seen?
Don't really see the logic in this from a commercial point of view and doesn't really fit with the clubs plans of building a brand when there's only one outlet in the whole of the city centre you can get kitted out. Casual visitors to the shopping streets of Manchester can see nothing but fucking red rugby shirts? That can't be right?

Definately agree that we should have an outlet in the Trafford Centre as it is one of the largest & busiest shopping centres in the country.

It's to help with the retro 1970s feel - umbro shirts, diagonal stripe, can only buy them for the City shop. At least this time we own the shop.

Does seem a bit strange though. Maybe it's because the other sports shops couldn't manage to hold the large stock of 'v', 'z', '3' and '2' required

im 6 feet with a chest like a cage fighter and the 44 fits perfectly. my guess is if you get a piece of string or measuring tape and measure yr chest and get that exact size you measure youll like the fit. im 44 measurement and it fits fine...not too loose, and just tight enough. i dont think youll find the length is that much different between the 38 or 40 bro...

cheers

I've stringed in at 41. So I suppose the 40 is the way to go - but if the S/S are too long i'll look a right twat.
Strong rumours that I'll have to go down the club shop this afty to try one of the home ones on. mare.

I was a touch over 42 so got a 44 in home shirt and is a little baggy so will get 42 in other's and ss is quite short as in just cover's bi's but im 6.2 so might be best to just try one on mate.

But il be going for 1 size lower next to get a nice fit without looking like a pornstar.

Ordered on-line this morning, same 42 s/s as the home shirt which fits perfectly - I'm 6'1" and reasonably well built. Delivery on 25 Sep.

Didn't think I was going to bother with this one, but loved it when we played Pompey.

Edit - posted before I saw Doom's post!

Chest is measuring as 37 so picked up a long sleeve 38 with Ireland on the back.

Also grabbed a home one with Tevez on it. No point paying postage twice.

Where does it say Limited Edition?

To answer your question, the White kit with Blue sash a couple of seasons ago sold out on the day of release. If you think back there were people queuing all around the stadium for them.

However, last year's Orange was also Limited Edition, and that was still available at the end of the season at knockdown prices.

If this new shirt is indeed Limited, I would expect the demand for it to be similar to the other white one mentioned above, rather than the Orange.

It's purely a commercial move on City's part.

Just think about it, every single shirt you see being worn has been sold by City at full retail margin, rather than us just getting a single figure margin as the license holder.

I'm sure once the first few month's sales are out of the way (possibly get Christmas in there) then they'll be available everywhere.

Has anyone else recieved an E-mail after ordering the 3rd shirt, asking them to comfirm their order (NAME, ADDRESS, ETC) by telephone or E-mail, But there is no number to phone or E-mail address to send to.
Is this a genuine E-mail from the club.??

I got one as well.

Hit reply and the email address comes up. Looks legit so I replied. Only asks for name and address really.

It seems to be limited edition. I got this email reply today:

Many thanks for your email.

Unfortunately the size 38 has now sold out and we will not be getting anymore of this size into stock. We do however have the size 38 available in the short sleeved version, if you wish to change your order to this shirt please can you let me know and I will change the order for you.

Kindest regards
