Certainly not one of the more economically unwise transfer moves by Svennis. There's only Elano to date that we've taken a (6 million quid) bath on when we sold him (but it's still to be seen what our final position will be on messrs Bojinov, Caicedo and Benjani.....we could be taking some hits on those lads).

Petrov only cost us 4.7m so even if we use him as a makeweight for Lescott/sell to Spurs for 3m or so we've done ok.

Corluka we made a small profit on, Gelson lost a couple of million, Bianchi a few million and obviously Geovanni was a freebie.

Not actually as bad as I thought it would be once I had a look....and obviously, it's small change to HRH.

Did Elano go for £2m??

Not good enough, not fast enough, end of. Thanks for the memories.

Lescott (if done), Barry, Zander, Mcguiness, probably DeJong as well - how much cover do we need? Les even tried Ned and Richards over Garrido and Ball in desperation.

Wouldn't discount sneaking in a new LB though!

I prefer Gaz to Bridge TBH. At least he fucking tackles.
He was ace up until chrimbo when Bridge nicked his spot.

I admit, he had a shit game. But from the first game of last season, up until Bridge came, every game was an improvement, until at the point Bridge took his position, Gaz was putting in better performances than Bridge has ever put in, in a City shirt. Its as if he needs to be playing week in week out to be playing at his best.

Fully agree with that part....for what it's worth, under Sven I would have preferred for us to stick with Javier rather than replacing him with Ball, I think that had he had more game time under his belt in that period we would have had a better player on our hands now and he wouldn't be on his way
