That will do. And not allowing one stupid goal at the end is a bonus.

Could not have gone much better

And to think we have Rodri, Foden, Josko, Savinho all to return. We definitely have the squad to do some serious damage this season. I guess it’s up to Pep and his team to work the magic to get the best out of them

Trafford looks assured. Would now be shocked if Ederson doesn’t move on
Ait-Nouri looks very promising
Bobb was decent, linked well with Lewis
Stones played well
Reijnders looked like he’s played for us for a while
Gonzales did well
Haaland looked sharp

And the clean sheet is always a good thing

Had a decent game. I worry his lack of pace might go against him against pacy defences

Enjoyed that. PBL was right to be excited!

Some great play in tight spaces with Cherki and the Reindeer.

Trafford for me should be our number 1.

Only negative for me was the ref. Is that the standard of referees now? Absolutely shocking and shows what we'll be up against all season.

Doesn't rely on pace he's great with the ball at his feet. Had a decent game nothing more. We'll take that and move on. The mighty Depor are up next over here - the sublime to the ridiculous

Very good result.
Downside being arm injury to Gonzales right at the death. Hopefully just an elbow jarr.
Shame Haaland was pulled early instead of try to get a hattrick , he thrives on goals, but great to see Cherki and Marmoush come on.
Thought Most played well, Reindeer was very sharp.
Doku could have done better.
Referee was poor. Let a lot go. Larsen was at it all the game . Dont blame OReilly for getting a yellow, but there should have been at least 3 more yellows for Wolves.
Thought Trafford was sound.

Apart from 25 dodgy minutes we actually played some great stuff. First game of the season and we’re off to a flier - away from home as well !
Doku was shit though —if he keeps that up he’ll be back on the bench.
Loved the quick one-twos, and for once we didn’t just pass sideways all night. Looked dangerous going forward.

Stones is class when fit, but we all know we can’t rely on him. If he makes it to the World Cup uninjured, I’ll be shocked.

Overall — happy enough.

( Savhino can go ,,,,, like asap as far as I’m concerned)

Lijnders is behind this new way of playing - early days but he 100% has had a huge impact on how we play.

Undoubtedly the new staff have made an instant impact. Set pieces at the CWC and quicker movement with the younger players playing.

Except for those shaky 20 minutes, we looked absolutely mint.

What stood out was how much more direct we played. The tippy-tappy was still there, but this time it had purpose, pushing towards goal instead of drifting sideways. Bernie operating centrally with pacey wingers around him could be one of the big storylines of this season. Overall, it was a top performance against a side I sincerely hope gets relegated and gets fucked.

Next week we face one of our bogey teams, and the first step should be to keep the back four unchanged. Stability there would be a massive plus.

I went yesterday, like PBL I couldn't wait and it certainly didn't disappoint.
I was convinced Rico would start as I put on here, I didn't expect Oscar to but was delighted he did and yet again those 2 excel together .
Reminders was like a Rolls Royce, what a replacement for Kev, Stones was fantastic, loved England's Number 1, and that kick out for the 3rd was pure Ederson. Nico was very good, Haaland looking like he'll beat all records this season. Bernardo looked more like his old self, what a cameo and goal for Cherki. Only negatives were Dias and Doku.
Can't wait for Saturday
