English/British quota ....

If that's the reason we should just do a lottery for the English season ticket holders. 50k a week and a place in the squad.

we're actually fine in that regard anyway

At least Yayas still good at twatting a few of their nastier players. Jacob is the worst of the lot, always goes in to injure

Cannot see him being included in many matches this season TBH...and its not because hes played badly as he hasnt , he just hasn't got the same pace as any other of our players.

Think he's already moved to a "Vieira" type role

Yep , the more I see the other players the more I see an accelerated ''urge to release and run'' from them where as Yaya needs that little extra time on the ball.

IMO.

I still think he'll have a part to play when we want to control games and keep the ball. Probably limited role and maybe more important to us in Europe this season

Agree with this. His motor skills and reaction time is getting worse by the season. I've noticed it in my self as well. If I try do do in my Sunday league what I did five years ago, I trip over my own feet.

Oh, and I'm obviously not comparing myself to Yaya. I'm simply saying that at a certain age, you find yourself self over the hill on a slippery slope to retirement.
