Maybe because he struck it so early, the goalie was caught off guard a bit. Reminded me a bit of what Aguero used to do, ie pick up the ball in a seemingly innocuous position, drops his shoulder, beat his man and shoot early, hard and in the corner catching the goalie out.
Can't remember when he last did that, score from 25 yards out with a thunderbolt
