I cannot believe we lost to this side in a major cup final only a few months ago.

You can't be a real country unless you have a beer and an airline. It helps if you have some kind of a football team, or some nuclear weapons, but at the very least you need a beer.

interesting how the english announcer i am hearing is saying that pelligrini is taking this competition seriously.

not that i disagree, but i also think he is using that mantra as a way to blend in all of our new players and perhaps help keep other players happy (i.e. dzeko)...and mostly about building team unity and cohesion.

we did start lopes and boyata, so it isn't like we are putting our most veteran first team players out there.

to me, starting fernandinho after a good performace against utd was a way of helping him further blend in.

either way things looking up for us...

and with those last two goals you can see how it may be paying off...

He's not really had anything to do in the second half - I barely saw any of the first half though.

Our whole side looks very hungry in fact. Not one of them is going through the motions. Good to see.

Totally agree. No half arsed displays here, everyone has been up for this nice. Nice to see

yeah hasn't had much to do. i didn't see the first half either, and there have been maybe 1 or 2 chances for wigan the second half, and i can't recall him being overly involved. maybe made a clearance from a cross from the right side?

seems he was allowed to come forward when the game was still 1-0. guessing this was because we are dominating so much. what's the point of staying back?
