As a kid sat in the Kippax there were plenty of times I remember City being booed off at half time. Its nothing new!!

The only different is the players back then weren't the best but most of them tried 100% (Jamie Pollock). Now we KNOW the players that are wearing the blue shirt have the ability to do whatever they want.

If they're not giving 100% then they'll know about it. Not because the fans want to boo the club. But they want the players to realise that they've paid good money to come to watch City and they don't deserve to have the piss taken out of them.

I honestly do not remember Edgehill & the Goat being booed, I would have told people to knock it on the head back then as well. I remember them being slagged off at the time, but I did not hear / notice the booing.

The players know when they are playing shit or making no effort, they do not need us to tell them, the club employ Bobby Manc to do this, our job as supporters is to support.

I was as pissed off as everyone else at half time, I still got behind my team, applauded and joined in with the few songs that went round from start to finish.

I think back then fans' "unrest" put so much pressure on players that they went to shit. Edgy was one.
I also remember Whitey when we went to Wednesday (prolly a cup game) and every time he touched it you could feel the crowd's disappointment. Finished him in my view.
That was maybe worse than booing, but at least it wasn't the blunt instrument of booing. Don't know how a warrior/100%everytimer like zabba would feel to be booed off .
Never criticise a man until you've walked a mile in his shoes.
That way when you do criticise him you'll be a mile away.
And you'll have his shoes.

I think Zab would go home and dry his tears with a few £50 notes.

I'm not sure where I stand on this but it seems a few people are more concerned with us being "rag like" than what actually goes on on the pitch.

Sorry mate edgehill had already gone to shit before the fans started. It was the final nail in his city coffin though. Like I said above, was it the booing that cause him to never play above league 1 again, or was it that he was actually, a player in serious decline.

People need to take responsibility for their own performances rather than blame every cunt else

Which City-player blamed everyone else in the team? If that happened he should be crucified. Who was it?
"I used to be 6 foot 2 with curly hair, look what it's done to me"

"In my career so far it's the most important goal. You score the goal in the last minute to win the title. You're not sure if that's ever going to happen in your career again. I wish I could tell you how I did it but I can't. I thought for all the world that Mario was going to have a go himself but he just moved it on one more and it fell at my feet and I just thought: 'Hit the target, hit it as hard as you can and hit the target.' And it went in."

you raise a good question about what a smart arse might call cause and effect
was edgy finished or did we finish him?

agree completely about responsibility and think that professional athletes at this level get that.

Can I suggest that everyone turns their back on the team in unison and jump up and down to vent frustration.......oh wait

To be honest I'm pretty sure the club would agree with us true supporters who are ashamed that we have this minority of horrible little cunts who think its acceptable to behave like rags, but then every club has its wankers.

You have turned into a right little prick in this thread.....TRUE FUCKING SUPPORTERS SUPPORTED CITY WHEN WE WERE FUCKIGN SHIT SHITE SHIT and I used to go and watch the droll most away games back in the 80,s....WHERE WERE YOU ?

Booing at HALF TIME (the key word there is half time and not during play) is acceptable and if plebs like you cannot see it then tough shite.

nice one... ;)

btw I have learnt to love You all, irrespectively.
we should all feel like this.
that's the special of being City: best Club and best Fans in the land and the whole world.

It's just internet, I mean. it took me plenty of time to learn...
just, if I humbly may dare and suggest, just let's swap the use of the word rags with old fashioned and more friendly addressing like fuck off, twat, cunt and so... I never saw a rag posting in this forum, well, unless upon special invitation.
just saying

1. "unintelligible language"
2. "ACID QUEEN"
3. "never once fails to turn a football thread into a himseelf thread"
4. "thumbs stalker often resulting in repetitive thumb strain"
5. ignore the cunt. he's on permantent wum mission. only TIDs may know City

You'd need to make a very good psychiatrist in order to guess what next in a eight yrs long line of hatred...

In Roger Ailes/Donnie Drumpf's words: "don't know it for a fact, but many people say so..."
there must be some truth, then!

be fair
most of those labels were directed at the people who actually booed not the two or three on here (mostly in another time zone) who "would've"
I won't get involved in the rag comparisons

My booing should have been heard even from here in Punta Fucking Cana...it was that loud....and if someone thought a drop of rain hit them in the crowd it might have been my spittle.
