Hughes Sacked

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

The truth is, Mark Hughes did not fulfill the owners aspirations. He chose to drop the owners Golden Boy and failed to sort out a £60 million defence.

Although I'm not happy with the appointment of Mancini, he'll get my full support and let's just hope he can get us winning week-in/week-out.

PS. Just shown a clip of fans views after the match and all of them are gob-smacked that he has been sacked, and most I talked to didn't want it either.

Ancellotti made them better without spending money... Point is that mangers like Ancellotti and Mancini are capable of succeeding when given a golden egg. Hughes just stripped the egg down and painted it pink.

time will tell, however, if he goes on an unbeaten run by losing just once at home in a calendar year and only twice in a season and gets us to a cup semi final, he may find himself looking for a new job!!!

The manchester city stability wagon rolls on!

Thankfully our owners understand that 3 draws = 2 losses even if you don't...

Thing is, we cant have players like robinho getting there way. End of the day hes gash alot of the time. I want players with ability AND passion, fight and spirit like bellamy and tevez. Robinho caused shit at marid so is there really hope for him?

If he would have played today we would have lost. Robby and ade are ok for the handful of games we play in the sun.

It was the right time to sack him, It gives Mancini a few games to look at our current squad before the transfer window opens to see what we need but it's pretty obvious to most people.

Re Hughes, He blew it. I stuck by him last season as i felt it was a difficult situation to be in for any manager and wanted a clean slate from this season onwards and I'm judging him purely on what has gone down this season. Two wins from eleven games and consecutive bad home results against Fulham, Burnley, Hull and a damning loss against Spurs are not the results of a manager who spent that much money in the summer.

Unlike some. I wish him well in the future, I'm sure he will get a job again in the Premiership and no doubt come back to haunt us.

This can go one of two ways

1. A right royal fuck up of the highest order which makes us the laughing stock on english football by nothing changing or things getting worse (worse as is more than 2 defeats in half a season, or mancini cant get to grips with the english game tactically)

2. It has the desired effect and we climb the table and secure a european slot by right......

time will tell and the jury is out but for myself i will be twitchy for the next 6 games or so...

OOOOHHH IM ALL TINGLY WITH EXCITEMENT

No one`s given you an answer yet, so I will...No we`ve got Mancici. I`m very underwhelmed. I will support him but fuck me, what`s he won to respect? Serie A by default. JM made HIS team better.

I'm reading alot of articles saying Mancini is in on a deal to the end of the season, with an option for another three years depending on success. if true sounds like city have made a damn good move. people may not agree with the way in which hughes went, but given how i felt after spurs game and all the crazy draws, i can understand the men at the top taking some harsh action, something had to be done. i think just like the rest of us they felt things were getting worse not better so they moved to halt a potential trainwreck, quite rightly in my opinion.

If mancini can come in and just sort the defense out, we should make top 4, our attack is outstanding.

Xmas has come early is all I can say. I wanted JM but RM will do. Having such a poor defence after spending about £50M on it is a good enough reason for the sack in my view.

What can I say. I didn't want him in the first place. I never thought he'd be the manager to take us anywhere. And he was, is and always will be nasty munich twat.

I'm not going to rub this further on faces of people as I know some people thought he'd be way forward. I'm also genuinely sad that I was right about him as it meant we weren't achieving our targets.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?
