More than happy with this. In fact, I think this, and the last few games have seen a real shift from Pep and how we are managing games.

Still think Laporte should start. He’s got a superb left peg and he really helps the side with his great cross field balls. Mahrez MOM. How did he not get an assist today?

Not the best performance after a very promising start...... Nonetheless, job done, up to 4th (for now) with a game in hand. No injuries and another clean sheet.

He finally explained himself recently.

He wants it for situations when there are players who are struggling with fitness like a few of our players were recently.

He gave examples of why not now and when he would have.

He said that he’s been able to rotate and there’s been more days rest so it hasn’t been needed.

When he wants to play he’s actually class. And that’s pisses me off more than anything. The fact if he wanted to be he’d be amazing. But a lot of the time he just doesn’t seem to want it. That’s more frustrating than a player that’s average but knows their limits and works hard.
