Justified logic wrote:OK, I'll rephrase it explicitly as this thread is about Pellegrini, not Iheanacho, and my question was about Pellegrini's ability to develop players, not about Iheanacho joining the first team.

Has anyone noticed or heard of an improvement in Iheanacho's game over the past couple of years that was down to Pellegrini's coaching? Genuine question. We've seen an improvement already in Sterling under Pep and Delph has spoken enthusiastically about learning from Pep. I've not heard of anything like that about Pellegrini but am willing to have my perception corrected.

And this goes back to my point. Pellegrini was keeping the seat warm for somebody else why would he be developing the kids for the next manager to reap the benefits of?

He knew his time at city was going to be a max of 3 years and focused on utilising the players that gave him the best chance of winning honours, hence he left an ageing squad behind. It's so obvious I'm surprised you keep asking why he didn't develop the kids.
As for Iheanacho well he's a talent he proved that last season and as has been accepted he's young and is gonna make mistakes and I'm sure will learn from them.

David Silva:

"Having Manuel here has helped me personally," he said. "It's been really good for me. He's suited me down to the ground. My style of play is more suited to an attacking style. He's helped me develop as a player. You always want to improve as an individual."

Don't understand the venom for Pellegriini.

Came in and steadied the ship, delivered some success, and always represented the club with dignity and civility.

Although results were mixed and football was, in fairness, atrocious at times I don't think he deserves ill-will of fans.

Is there some bullshit tribal nonsense going on where as soon as someone leaves the club you suddenly have to hate them?

Are you even going to acknowledge the quote from Silva or would you rather conveniently ignore it?

I don't think I've read one reasonable respectable poster talk massive shit on either Hart or the Count. Esss Normull that they would leave but any fan appreciates the history and emotion. Anything else is just trolling fucktardation.

Cheers

Good luck Manuel.

This is interesting, rumour has it that Bony is heading to China in January and Seluk has been suspiciously quiet too, I wonder...

take anything a player says about another player or coach with a pinch of salt.

Thanks for the advice.

I was simply giving JL an example of what he was looking for but thanks again.

A good last pay day for Pellegrini.

He he clearly did not belong at the elite level, but this gives him a good pay off before retiring back in Chile.
