The rumour mill will be grinding again by the weekend and it will continue to do so I think

I've just heard a couple of separate arguments; one in favour of Guardiola staying for another year at Bayern, the other in favour him leaving Bayern this summer,
The first one was that at Barcelona he inherited a fine side with excellent players and then he waited until he was subsequently able to take over an established side, with very good players at Bayern.
Given his track record in this respect, plus the suspicion that he may not be able to build a side for himself, the suggestion was that he would would wait this next season out until Butthead had built a side for the Scum and then he would parachute into the Swamp and inherit all the work that had been completed by the Dutch 'maestro'.
The second idea was that Bayern are going to need a number of new players this summer, to replace some older fading ones as well as others with continuing injury concerns. It was suggested that the Bayern board would not trust Guardiola to spend a load of cash, only to leave in twelve months time and then to make more money available for his successor to build the side that he wanted and sign more players.
On this basis, the argument was that Bayern would off-load Guardiola this summer and get his successor in straight away.
You can pay your money and take your choice as to which of these thoughts you subscribe to.
