They were there for the taking. First home game under the new manager and you'd have though Chelsea were playing Bayern with his setup.

I think it's down to them being complete shit.

Ha ha ha, he's just said it as well.

Rooney played very well except he fucked up every single key pass attempted, the media will wank over it when in actual fact his effort was quality but his end product sucked arse. Almost like he didn't want the scum to score...

Might be close to the truth. He worked hard and played quite well on the surface but if you analyse closely he played like a striker trying in midfield.Shooting when a pass was better with RVP well placed plus misplaced plenty.

Looking at that game I feel more confident. Our attack is much better than both teams however our defence and midfield in comparison looks powder puff. Bring a fit Micah vinnie nasti and Barry back into the equation and we'd hammer them both.

I have no doubt our attack and attacking midfield are the best in the league but the season was always going to be defined by how well we defend. So far not so good.

Just worries me how often vinnie is getting injured. Similar to Micah as its quite often during an unnecessary tackle.

100% agree. But I fear our defensive weakness (bad errors like yesterday apart) come from the team being a bit open.

Back to tonight's game I do think the Scum might have won if Kagawa had played instead of Rooney.

Chelsea had nothing up front. Although good defensively.
Can't help thinking that was a game the rags would have snatched in previous seasons.

I agree about the unnecessary bit. Against Newcastle Ameobi was going absolutely nowhere and had no support, he just needed to show him the line.

I think they would have won it without getting out of first gear. Chelsea were garbage. But likewise, Mourinho's old Chelsea team would have battered that sorry excuse for a rags side to death.

Cutting edge. Martin.

Classic bit of commentary on the stream I was watching "If anyone wins it's going to be by a late goal"
This gem was spouted in the 85th minute.
