The 24-year-old midfielder had a positive World Cup despite a disappointing England showing in South Africa .......

I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say I'm particularly looking forward to hearing the views of Phil Thomson & Paul Merson on this subject. I always look forward to their insightful & constructive views on all things City.

All that money and not a thing to wear.

Poor sod.

See ya later stevie, honestly can't say i'll miss you, wish i could, you being an academy lad and all but i really won't. One season doesn't make you a legend in my book... unless your name is Bertie Glauber that is! lol.

Whether you agree with the transfer or not, he is a City player now and will get our full support.

And now Mancini has the team he wants, I guess it's time to deliver.

One thing I definitely wont miss about Superman is the fact that he always seemed afraid to take a shot on when in a scoring positon!

Used to annoy the fuck out of me!!

Defended him like mad in the Pearce and Sven years.
Loved him in the 08-09 season.
Frustrated me so much in the 09-10.

The lad is immesley talented, on talent and ability alone he'd probably be in the top 5 maybe even top 3 in the league but you need heart, determination and self confidence to get the best out of that ability and Stephen Ireland will never have any of that which is a crying shame.

I find it weird, for 5-6 years i have been his biggest fan but i'm not even that arsed he has gone, i'm sad as he could of been an all time great, his ability should of made him one, but we have got a better player in the sense that he will perform more or less every game, give you a 7 every game and once in a while he will give you a 9 or a 10, with Ireland you could never say that.

Ireland has more ability than Milner but Milner is the better player.

I wish Stevie all the luck in the world, i hope he makes Villa fans happy as much as he did me but welcome to James as i am delighted we have got the right replacement.
