What I'm saying Antii is that our squad was still short on quality in numbers. DeJong was an improvement on what went before, and Milner will be, in my opinion, better than Petrov, albeit expensively, and also provides an alternative to a rested Bellers, or to DeJong himself in certain games.

If we are playing so many games we need an influx of quality players, of which this is one.

Being brutally honest, if we want to win stuff then the likes of Ireland (in current form), Petrov, Benjani, Sylvinho, all those players out on loan and untried youngsters who aren't sensational have no place on our field in 2010-11.

I think it's a bit harsh to say Milner isn't an improvement, and I'm not his biggest fan.

I'd be surprised if Milner if brought in as the much anticipated attacking midfielder that we are short of and believe that overall, he is an upgrade to Petrov. Add to this the fact that he is versatile and I can see the benefit to the squad. We are about to go into a se ason where we are looking to challenge at the top of the Prem and also face trips into Europe and we need good quality players that can give us options. Yes Milner is not going to make the difference on his own but he's a step in the right direction.

If Milner is brought in to play on the wing then that is ok.
If he is being brought in to play central then bollocks to that.
We need a flairy fucker who can rip teams apart.
BTW does this quash any rumours of Silva if true.....?

My uncle who is a Villa fan keeps banging on about the guy saying not many people know how good he really is.. So we will see won't we? Sure we gave Villa 28 million but they can't do as much with it as us..

About time we had someone who isnt shit scared of shooting, running, passing, tackling, thinking, generally just being a midfield dynamo.

Good times.

Oh and if people think he will be coming in to be slammed on the wing your mistaken,he will play where he did this year. IMHO.
