A close call, but Spurs beat us in every department today.

Starts with changing a winning starting 11 from last week - why

Subs didn't change anything, left far too late and changed nothing

No control, no pace, disjointed all round, error strewn

Shite defending, shite midfield no bite or snap

Completely toothless forward line

Pathetic. Good result for Spurs all credit to them we were worse than wank

Totally agree with this. That was about as painful a watch as I’ve seen in a very long time, I lost faith in Pep a long time ago…..it’s still fucking Plan A, the one that every coach on the planet has worked out how to beat. What concerns me most is the players attitude, they’re so fucking slow physically and mentally. There was nothing there today, the decision making by Pep was atrocious in terms of subs. We have a genuine classy prospect in Khus sitting on the bench, tall, strong, fast while Lewis, who’s 4 foot and a fag end tall, marking Richardson. Can a management error be more basic than that. I’m sorry if I sound like a broken record these days, but for me Pep has to go, he’s lost it, they’re not playing for him any more and haven’t been for a long time. I just cannot stand another season of this. Do the decent thing Pep and fuck off.

Marmoush would be getting binned asap. Missed penalty in the cup final. Missed a sitter today at 0-0 - would have been a totally different game if he scores that. Pathetic cunt

Marmoush was our best player before being subbed.

Having Haaland in our team is like playing with 10 men every game . He does fuck all .

All too easy for Tottenham to get the ball off us. Doku stripped of possession this time. Tottenham have been very good. They deserve all 3 points.
We've been shit, not produced anything.

This is on Pep.

Rico Lewis dumped on his arse, now loses possession - another one that's been shit

Everyone was happy with the team beforehand, so what part is Pep's fault?

Marmoush scores that easy chance and we're 1 up. It's a completely different game. That ball he tried to control and it went out of play - my nans better than that (she's been dead about 10 years as well).

Exactly. And this cunt of a ref has given us nothing

Lets blame everyone cept that cunt that picked the team and changed things from a team that started at Wolves . Marmoush missed a chance but he was lively and a threat and was involved in the game. Cherki was started and poor . The only thing that Pep could not control was Ait Nouri getting injured.
Teams are going to bully us , we need to stand up to that and fight fire with fire . The ref allowed Spurs to bully us but we were weak and i'm afraid we fall over far too easily

Not blaming it all on the ref at all. Just stating a fact that we were up against it from the off. Others commented on him being the opposite of a homer.

It was a really tight game in which Spurs took their 2 chances (one a really tight offside call and the other from a howler from us).

At 0-0 we were easily the better side and should have taken some decent chances we had.

The subs pep played was bringing on the 2 players from the starting line up last week (which you were fuming about him changing) and he then brought on Foden (who looked bright but rusty) and Rodri.

I'm not happy with the performance and there is plenty of room for improvement but let's just have a bit of balance, everything is always one extreme or the other.

Not one person complained about the starting XI ( he actually kept a settled defence when he easily could have brought Ederson straight back in) which everyone usually complains about.

They 'bullied' us because the ref let them kick us constantly without punishment. Lost count of the number of times they went through the back of us without a foul.

It was a tight match that went against us because we were very poor.

Nobody was complaining about the starting 11, thinking that they may have played like last week, but no, same old tired and worn tactics and we were beaten easily. Apart from the already stated failures, the other one is Haaland. The best and most prolific centre forward in the world today and not one through ball to him, there was attack towards the end of the match where there was an opportunity to thread easy through balls to him twice and at the end of the attack he just went down on his knees with his head in his hands in exasperation. Where is the coaching for this, it’s fucking abysmal. He’s not a control player like Kane he never will be he’d have it by now, he has pace and relies on that fast through ball service. He just doesn’t get it, but most worryingly of all nobody is looking to play that ball. Instead we just hold on to it and it’s almost as if we’re waiting for our opponents to get organised before we move up the pitch. It’s time for Vinny and the sooner the better.

Peps subs are and has always been trash...the ref was not the problem no Rodri and no RB sub or starter will be detriment this season. both CBs were clueless. Marmoush and cherki cant stay on their feet to save a life. Doku is like Pep one trick pony...PEP OUT never wanted him to renew

It reminded me of the good old days. We sign a few Europeans that nobody has ever heard of and they turn out to be a pile of shit added to the pile of shit we already have.

I was looking forward to this season but I'm not any more.

I think if we signed the equivalent of Pele in his Heyday Pep would put him wide on the left, tell him to cut inside & pass back to defence. That’s how fucking sick of the same old shit

At what point do we finally draw the line and stop this? Because right now, I have to ask: how can anyone put him above the club? Ten Hag was right: eras end, and this one has ended. But we either don’t care, or we’re deluding ourselves. A new staff came in, yet nothing changed, same high line, same long balls, same counter-attack goals conceded. Who was honestly confident again Spurs, Scouse, or even Palace? Same fucking shit every single time. SAME.

This isn’t just a mistake anymore, it’s arrogance. A stubborn obsession with proving that only his system works. Thank you for the trophies, yes, but let’s not forget he was heavily rewarded for them. And let’s not erase the countless failures either. We could easily have been two titles short if Vinny hadn’t pulled that Leicester moment out of nowhere, instead of us passing it to death. Or if the team hadn’t had an adrenaline boost against Villa after he was schooled by Slippy.

Enough is enough. When proving a point becomes more important than the club itself, then it’s time to go. We can’t keep living off past glories while ignoring the present. The reality is simple: the game has moved on, and we’re stuck in a cycle of stubbornness and decline. Every warning sign has been there, from the repeated tactical collapses to the lack of adaptation against opponents who read us like an open book. If we keep pretending this is fine, then we’re choosing loyalty to one man over loyalty to the badge.

I was peps biggest fan , he's given us more then I think anyone of us could have wished for but its now blatantly obvious he's too stubborn to realise he's wrong.
18 months of high lines and every club , man and his dog has figured us out.
THERE IS NO PLAN B.
He was a genius, he's changed the way football has been played but unfortunately his ego has outweighed his intelligence.
Managers like klopp get the absolute most out of players but at right now I think pep has stifled our world class players.
We see it, they know it & its only him that refuses to admit it.
Interviews are now like watching a child lie, when you know they done it.

Thanks pep for everything but im banging my head off the wall watching all this play out again

Arteta threw on a 15 year old— came on in the 64th minute ( so it wasnt a fuckign charity sub ), won the 90+5’ pen. Second-youngest in Premier League history. Arsenal actually trust Hale End.

Can you imagine Baldy doing this ?

Nope...neither can I.

They were 4-0 up and were cruising when the kid was brought on. It was nothing but a PR stunt. The kid will be nowhere to be seen when the injured players return. Not a chance he would have been brought on if it was 0-0.

He might be the next big thing for all we know, but he will go back to the u18s for sure

Isn't that what a top manager should do ? bring on a talent when your cruising ( and he didn't wait for the 88th minute to make that change either )?Two pops at goal and he won the stoppage-time penalty for 5–0. Id call that a decent contribution and not "a PR stunt".
FYI - Dowman was with the first-team group in pre-season and featured vs AC Milan in Singapore, which is certainly why he was in contention for a contribution today - sweet fuxkall to do with a PR stunt .

Can’t defend this one we were rubbish.

I was over the moon with the starting lineup. It’s exactly what I wanted bar one. I wanted Khus in for some pace and protection.

Cherki was awful, Reijenders not a patch on last week and Trafford a disaster. Not a chance I predicted any of that. Marmoush miscontrolling and fucking yo every chance also not something I saw coming.

Haaland actually played well but him creating for others is not the answer. Let’s feed him the fucking ball. Even reijenders late in the game saw him break forward 1 v 1 and instead went wide to Doku. It’s infuriating.

Only sliver of positive is I always expect us to lose to these cunts and it’s never stopped us winning the league. Let’s hope it’s a blip.

I made a post a few weeks ago where i said i thought Pep would be gone by Christmas.

Actually i think it is possible it might be much sooner than that .Brighton/Rags/Arsenal up next. Al very difficult games.

We are a mess all over the Pitch, half a billion spent on ones for the future, and players who are simply not good enough. This Season we are going to be exposed like never before. A perfect storm of shit signings over the last few Seasons coupled with a Manager who has become a deluded tactical Dinosaur. Who can not, or point blank will not change his style and adapt to this team short comings. Namely the inability to play his style of Football competently out from the back. Caused by the fact many of the new signings struggle to even pass the Ball. This and the fact the defenders are pretty much too old and useless.

But still Pep carries on regardless with his "This is the way" style of Football. Zero intention of adapting to the evolvement of the modern game. We are so easy to beat it is School Ball level football embarrassing. Simply press us and it will reap huge rewards. Unenforced errors and goals.

Last 18 months we have been in a steady and pretty rapid decline. Culminating in us literally hardly beating anyone in the top 6 last Season. Barely qualifying for top 4.

This Season is going to ne much worse than that and we all know it.

It was not so much the defeat by Spurs yesterday, but the manner of it. The defeat was literally a carbon copy of every other defeat from the last 18 months. A manager naively and incompetently changing the winning side from Wolves just 1 game in to the Season. Then setting us up tactically to accommodate Thomas Frank simple plan to high Press enforce errors and defeat us again for the umpteenth time in his career. Even more disturbingly there was zero plan Zilch nothing. The players literally gave up after the second goal went in. They had no idea how to try and rectify the game, maybe change the style, try something different. It was a horrible disjointed display, probably the worst under Pep era. It really was that bad, so bad even Pep hardcore sycophants are starting to question him. The writing is on the wall.

At no point after that second goal went in did we ever look remotely like getting something. The players downed Tools, literally accepted defeat and gave up.

Pep subs again shocking, yet again he made the wrong substitutions, ensuring there was never going to be a way back. This is the new normal for 18 months also. He sits watching the same game we all watch then makes all the wrong Subs.

Players fitness another issue literally the second game back and they all look totally fucked. What the fuck is going on with the fitness coaches. This has been an issue for a good while. It is like the entire set up at the Club has become unfit for purpose including set piece coaches etc. Life on easy Street.

The long slow arduous Pep farewell tour.

We are going to be in a right mess when he fucks off with the new Manager having 1 Billion squad full of nearly Men to move on. The dumbest move we ever made was financing a Manager with one Eye on retirement and Golf with our future. He can not even get the basics right by buying players we can actually use in their respective positions, still even now we have to watch Rico Lewis like Bambi on Ice. And the useless fucker Nico cover for Rodri it is criminal what we have become.

Our time at the top is over, we made the same mistake the Rags have made and now we will pay the price.

We will always respect Pep for what he has done..But will always curse the fact we never parted ways 2 Seasons ago and spunked 1 Billion on shit players since, all his fault.

It is going to end in Tears be it after a good trouncing from the Rags/Arse or further down the line.

The Fairy tale is over. I only hope that our owners have the guts to pull the Trigger before we miss out on Europe all together.
