Ahh, calling people lickers. Those were the days.

Indeed. And what a compelling argument it is.

To be fair, it was the only argument they had other then them knowing so much more about tactics and selection than the coach that delivered us the Premier League and the FA Cup.

The original 'lickers' term was towards that fucking bellend Mark Hughes.

Are you suggesting back in the old Hughes days, the anti-hughes union only argument against his appointment was simply because 'he's a licker'?

One thing I don't get is how quite a few Blues now hold Sorri and Tinkerbell in such regard. Their first season in charge led to no silverware at all yet Mancini, who at least won us trophies, is cast as some sort of monster.

Nothing stranger than folk.

The Glimmer twins haven't really taken over until May, then they acted. Remains to be seen how we do.

Mancini needs to wind his neck in a bit or he will be tarnishing his image. It may be hard but sometimes it's best to remain silent.

When a player pops up saying things about the club after he leaves he always gets slated mancini does it and uts justified he was sacked he should move on.

Oh and the main reason we won the league is because we have the resources to do it.

What has he said that's got so many knickers in a twist?

I must have missed something. I read quotes from him saying he doesn't understand why he was sacked and I read him having a pop at Soriano, which tbf there was no need for but I didn't read anything where he slated City.

Have I missed something?

Must admit I am getting more and more positive about the change.

There is no real justification but I just 'feel' that there is a solid structure and strategy emerging - I feel that we will be successful (maybe not in trophies this year) and that it will last for a long time - perhaps just my blue specs, but...........

That said, I wonder if some are falling into the old media trap re Mancini???

I have spotted a couple of headlines that seem to scream out that he is being critical or disrespectful - only to read the article and find that his 'quoted comments' were really tame - generally a couple of short answers to direct questions with some paragraphs of 'journo interpretations' doing the best to make it sound controversial.

It may be that I have missed some genuinely negative comments by him - but perhaps also we should take care not to react like the scum journos would like?

There's some right girls on here. Can somebody explain to me, in quote and comment, what he's done to upset you?

We should know better than to believe anything in the written press. We have all seen how mancini has had words twisted even when we watched the actual interviews.
