Sometimes we have to recognise that Mancini plays players out of position and in unfamiliar roles. As far as that goes, Yaya has adapted better than anyone. He's had shit games, as the whole team has had, but I think we got ourselves a powerhouse of a player.

Anyone got any stats on his goals, assists and successful tackles?? Rag Hater, where are ya??

I'd play him up front in the absence of Tevez. The way he took that goal was fantastic. If you let him have 3 strides on you, you're fucked as he is a rapid powerhouse.

Assists 4
Shots 36
Mins played 2436
Tackles last 3 games
Dippers 6 (5,23, 45 47,51,74)
Scumderland 5 (40 ,46,47 58 ,68,
Chelski 4 (at 11 mins 20 mins 25 and 52)
Yesterday tackling was worst for a while and the OS says 2.
Hope it didn't send you to sleep.

What kind of dickhead started this thread. I think yesterdays performance highlights what a quality player he is and also what little some of fans know about football and how some are too quick to criticise.

This guy has written the things about Yaya I have tried to say but he has done it better that I ever would.
For me it was a nice read and I hope it explains what a few of us see when we see Yaya play.

It was posted a while ago and the things IMO he has done since then have only enhanced what is being said.

Yeah far too quick ... it's only taken a player on a reputed £150k+ a week, three quarters of the season to actually come good so you can see why some (including me) have doubted him. Touch wood it's onwards and upwards for Ya ya on a more consistent basis from now on.

Watching the goal over and over again, the size of him even next to Vidic is just ridiculous! I really think I would shit myself if he would run at me, the way he strides away from Carrick and past Vidic is just insane, what a monster.

Fucking love watching that goal.
