Could not have put it better myself. Hughes had his chance and didnt seize it. He can have no complaints. But his replacement, We are employing a guy who has whored himself about any job going and been knocked back by West Ham, Spurs (twice) and even put his cv in at Blackburn.

He has no trak record outside Italy, Never won a league title at Inter that was not handed to him in the courts or when the usual main rivals were dropped down to Seria B. Down nothing in the CL and was eventually replaces for that reason. Replaced by a manager who IS the type of calibre we should be aiming for.

Inter were on the up already before the main rivals were punished and Manciniproved able to MAKE THE MOST OF THE OPPORTUNITY. Something Hughes has failed to do. Why has he been rejected by several Premiership clubs? Why has he been out of a job for so long. The argumment about the pay off from Inter and not being able to manage elsewhere is not valid, It was a one year deal and meant he was on the pay role for the rest of his contract and it would have been canceled if he took another job in that time he was actively punting himself about for jobs.

How do you know he was rejected, were you there? The fact he was still under contract to Inter made his situation very complicated. I doubt many clubs could have afforded him then. Does him winning the Italian Cup with a side in administration and who hadn't been paid for months not impress you either? And Wenger's success was mostly in JAPAN.
