Doesn't appear to me that we have any intention of selling Dzeko. I don't see how we can possibly sell him anyhow, unless we have two players of equal quality coming in.

Dzeko was a bad signing by Mancini imo, as was Balotelli, because neither fit the way he wanted to play; they were just bought because he had loads of money to spend imo & likes them as players, rather than any part of a plan as to how they would actually fit in his team. They have both made a decent contribution but were square pegs in a round hole.

That could be different now & the Count may have a specific plan for Dzeko (& Negredo). He likes to have a tall striker around.

Re Osvaldo, I have a feeling this may be an excuse to talk to Roma about Lamela & the other fucker, centre back geezer, without the press (& Real Madrid or Barca) getting wind of it. Doubt they'll sell us either though.

It's the media that is constantly trying to sell Dzeko, for whatever reason.

One of my biggest questions is why don"t we try to bring Huntelaar. Ok, he was a flop at Madrid and at Milan, he wasen"t used much.

- he is a proven scoring machine.
- can score when we play shit
- great reputation along other players.
- we can get him cheaper than Negredo.
- Imho, as good as RVP, minus the freek kick ability.

Consistently been a 1 in 2 striker for the last 5 years. He's only 25.

But it seems like we are allergic to sensible, obvious decisions. We would rather spend more on obscure players and seem to be scared of any competition for a signature.

If there really is a "non aggression pact" between us and real surely we are due a favour after isco.

I remember that moment, but i also remembered that after that he said he was sorry. And City is not the same team that was a long time ago. I would rather have a player that refused us once, but now will come, rather than one that will say yes and will be shit. The rapist talked shit about us and scum and then at his first goal there he kissed the badge.

We need to think really good. If De Rossi is for sell for 10 mil, we have to use every card we have. If we want to sell Kolarov, we need to have a leftback asap, etc.

We sold Tevez and everyone can see that we are struggling to find him a replacement and so on. We have to keep it together and not repeat the same mistakes we did last summer.

Juve trying to pay £1.2m as a loan fee for Kolarov with a view to buy next summer.
Apparently City only want to sell now.

Another 27 year old? And I thought we were dumping our troublesome strikers...

Roma have been in negotiations with City for several days over Osvaldo and on Sunday evening rumours swirled around the Italian media that a deal was close.

Manchester City’s proposal now appears to be €13m cash (£11.2m), whereas the Giallorossi have set a €15m (£12.9m) price-tag on the Italy international.

It is believed the deal can be struck if City add a further €2m in performance-related bonuses.

Roma would then reinvest that money in the Premier League by snapping up Manchester United winger Nani.

Osvaldo is on the market after publicly insulting then-Coach Aurelio Andreazzoli following the Coppa Italia Final in May.

The 27-year-old has a history of fiery behaviour, including an incident when he punched teammate Erik Lamela, and scored 16 goals in 29 Serie A games last season.

He is eager to come to Manchester City, as he’d reunite with his former Espanyol manager Manuel Pellegrini.

Are we trying to reinvent the wheel at City, Higuain is one of a few partners for Kun and Messi, 20 plus mill, Negrado fine left footed player, scores goals, but is a third choice behind Torres, Villa and is with Llorente as back up for Spain. Why are we not replacing Tevez with another room mate for Zabba and Kun. Buy both 40 odd mill.

Why is signing a cf when you have just signed a winger, 'reinventing the wheel' ? Surely 'doing the bleeding obvious' would be a better description ?

And who gives a fuck what Spain's manager thinks ?

True that.

Also must be said that while Higuain looks like an obvious deal we should be going for, if you look into it, the deal is widely believed to be above 50 million total (not including wages). This is because of all of the bonuses Real want attached to the deal.

There is good reason why only Arsenal are in for him. He is super pricey.

It's also worth considering why Real Madrid choose to get rid of a striker at his peak.

The answer; they don't think he's good enough.

If we grab Osvaldo for 11 million, that would be a great deal.

Peanuts for a 1 in 2 striker. Good business as a 4th choice.
