To be fair as well....he does say:

"to be managing a team as big as...Manchester United...."

isn't actually untrue, is it?

cheers

i think he knows who signs his checks.

cheers again

I am well and truly spent after that win. I know it seems silly but out of the domestic trophies this was the one I wanted this season. Yes, it's a Mickey Mouse cup, blah blah blah, but it was the last one we won back when we actually won things and now there is no domestic trophy Tyler can say "City of course, haven't won it for 30+ years".

Fuck you Tyler, we're Manchester United! Wait a sec, what?

Oh Pellers, you duffer.

Have to laugh at the last couple of pages of this thread, some unbelievable bickering over a slip of the tongue.

You're not alone in that. I was in town for the reception as a young scrote when we last won the League Cup. It means a lot to win it this season for that reason alone. I'd like to add the league as well, of course.

Haha, erm, this caught me a bit by suprise.

Is judging a manager based on his performance with the team rather than verbal slips now the immature position? Perhaps you could explain to me what the grown up mature viewpoint is supposed to be?

I'd like to win the lot and I think the league is where we need to focus, the FA Cup can be taken on a game by game basis but there is no reason to play a full strength lineup this weekend with Barca only days after.

However the league cup was the only major trophy(aside from various Thomas Cook trophies) we'd won in my life(3 at the time) and I think Tyler mentioned 1976 more times than he mentioned the rags in the rounds leading up to the final. Quite an achievement for him I know.

Pelligrini's setting up of a team for the League Cup, Barcelona and FA Cup have just lost much of his credibility for me particularly the use of Garcia and Demichelis today (Garcia should have come off not Yaya)
It may be my last year as a season ticket holder as it just doesn't seem the same with so few English and local players (but I said that last year)

His choice of personnel and changes, especially all 3, seemed very strange. Seriously disatisfied today.

I think he took Yaya off before the ref made the decision for him

Garcia staying on made sense. Yaya was having a poor game and in danger of losing his discipline. There's also no point playing Yaya in a holding role.
We needed someone to hold back a little, or Wigan would have had a clear run at our defence when they got the ball

Today changed nothing for me.

The talk of a quadruple was always bullshit. It's his first season and expecting him to win immediately is absurd. Next season will be more telling.

This is obvious to all but MP. I rate MP as much as I rated Frontzeck.
