To all intents and purposes we brought in a caretaker manager, that what a 6 month contract in football is.
the answer might lie in what you imagine that contract to have looked like...

If you asked me in December would I be happy to qualify for the Champions League if we played like wankers and won most of our remaining games, I would have grabbed your hand off. However now we are 4 months into it, the reality is striking me somewhat different, and I am now starting to find it a chore, and utterly depressing to watch City regardless of the result.
I would love to say yes, as the results overall would indicate we are doing alright, but I dont think I can watch another season of this football.

I think he'll get the bullet in the summer too mate...
There's a good few disgruntled fans. Disgruntled with the style of play he's enforced moreso than anything...
I think we've seen some glimpses of attacking football on occasion since he took over, but not nearly enough for my liking. Also, the only game where I felt we got beaten all over the park under Hughes was Spurs, but under Mancini there's been a few teams now that have handed us our arse on a fucking plate.
I would have thought the first thing he would do would be make us hard to beat, but he has actaully taken that away if anything.
As ever though, I want the guy in charge to succeed - in both performance and results - and if we get fourth with our football improving as we go, I'll be one happy bunny.

Everton twice, Hull and U***d.

What about Burnley and Hull at home under Hughes?
Original Dub wrote:Poor home draws as a result of individual errors, but in no way were we outperformed as a result of neagative tactics.
How can you have your arse handed to you when you didn't even lose?!!
Original Dub wrote:Well mate, all goals can somewhere be put down to an individual error, but I meant glaring indivdual errors against the run of play when we always looked like we were going to win as the game went on.
In no way did Hull and Burnley own us under hughes. Everton and Hull did under Mancini.
You must see what I'm saying in some capacity surely?

I do yeah, i just don't think it was as extreme as you are saying.
Everton away for example we were missing Bridge, Lescott, Toure, Adebayor and Ireland. Santa Cruz went off after 7 mins and had to bring on Benjani at half time, against Burnley and Hull we had our full strength side out, even against Hull we had the luxery of having Kompany on the bench as an unused sub. I'd like to think that game against Everton away would have been a different game if we had a full strength side out.
For every game as you said we were bad and had our arses handed to us against Everton twice, Hull and U***d we were excellent in the games against Chelsea, Fulham, Blackburn, Wolves and gained solid wins against Bolton, Pompey and Wigan.
It could be better but it's not as bad or negative as some are making it out to be.
