New City Home Kit 2012- 2013 *New Pic*

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

The kits pictured in the Daily Mirror were actually mocked-up by somebody on the Bluemoon forum, they're not the real deal!
I have a feeling that the one on the laminate floor may prove to be real though.
While it doesn't look too bad, It just doesn't look like Nike have put any real effort into it - it's like they've taken a stock 'teamwear' kit and just put our badge on it! We're not unique in this - they've pretty much done that for the rags too!

How does that explain Everton being with Nike now?

Nike have provided my sunday league team kit for the last 3 years. I must tell the lads how global we are.

Nike have provided them, and not a re-seller? There's a huge difference between Nike making kits for your team, and your team wearing kits made by Nike... As a huge sporting brand, they can undercut the market for off-the-shelf kit designs (I have a feeling my primary school's kit was also made by Nike), and take up a huge portion of lower- and non-league market.

Wow. Must have took them about ten minutes to come up with that. Take the 2010 kit, change the colour of the sponsors so it stands out and add a black line. That said i'll probably buy it though. Nice.

The elasticated sleeve bands are a winning modification. I love a shirt with sleeve bands. That was the only thing wrong with that 09/10 top.

So it gives the illusion.

Nah, to be honest I just find it more comfortable. All shirts were like that when I was growing up. Plus I pretty much only ever wear polo shirts.

How do you go about getting a job on the Nike design team?

Looks easy money.

HaHa I know what you mean, but being fair there isn't a great deal to play with....

BADGE: was tinkered with last year by being turned black (which for the record I didn't like, made us look like a team in mourning).

SPONSOR: Etihad tend to use gold colour as their corporate look which I am not sure would stand out enough on the sky blue background? That said it would look mint on a black away shirt.

SHIRT COLOUR: We've had variants of blue down the years ala 'Laser blue', but at the end of the day SKY BLUE is and should always be OUR COLOUR, preferably plain & ALL BLUE, not great big chunks of white. the subtly patterned like the 11/12 which was just about acceptable

COLLAR is about all you can tinker with IMO

Is that navy or black on the collar and cuffs? I can't complain too much about that offering, it's as close to the 09/10 Umbro home shirt as we're gonna get and that was pretty much liked by everyone.

Just hope we steer clear of Reebok forever. I tolerated the le coq laser blue but the reebok white sleeved monstrosity was just wrong.

I like all three.
You have the traditional home kit. A more interesting away kit and nice looking third kit. All in all, a kit for everyone.

There is a new picture out (of this very Nike short) with shorts next to them ... yes, they are white at least ... can't post here as using mobile app. But am sure someone can google it and post here ...

If it's real then this page shows the possible new away kit too? [urlnp=http://www.footyheadlines.com/2013/01/nike-manchester-city-13-14-home-shirt.html]LINK[/urlnp]
