I'm pretty sure they didn't just spend 125 million for a bench warmer.

I'm pretty sure I'm allowed to be excited about the possibility

Marescas first job is to create an atmosphere where its all inclusive, with that squad anyone coming off the bench will contribute. Average players have gone and the overall quality of the squad from last season has gone up a notch.

Me too but not sure nico plays rb.

Nunes in there. Nico for josko who is unlucky to miss out.

Enzo is at the dentist this day or comes on to score a hat trick and jump in 110.

Without doubt the squad has strengthened considerably over the last two windows, notwithstanding the quality that has left. What I like particularly is that once again we have some exciting players on our hands. It all boils down to how they are managed over a season.

Whichever team is put out to play, I can’t think of anyone in the current squad that I would be moaning at, with the exception of Rico perhaps. Foden, at last, showed glimpses of what we love him for, so in essence I’m very very optimistic for this season and for the next few years. We’ll see !!

Looking forward to seeing the team for Saturday. Imagine that we will see Fernandes straight away. If Doku is still out, Ndiaye would also start wirh Semenyo on the other flank. Just looked and can see that there is no AFCON til 2028 and then its every 4 years thats good seeing as two of the newbies plus Semenyo would likely feature.

Slightly off topic but I’m more excited about the formation and the likelihood of us playing two direct wingers with a remit to beat a man and cross it to the big man to gobble up

Against more defensive teams, there is a good chance that our strongest lineup is only with 3 at the back since we have so many good midfielders. With one of the defensive CMs dropping in the backline when needed

Khus - Guehi - Gvardiol

Bouaddi - Anderson

Ndiaye - Cherki - Enzo - Semenyo

Haaland

I agree but could also use Nico OR in midfield and switch to LB if needed

I have a hope that Bouadi starts. I like the look of this fellow, I predict he’s going to be massive for us over the next few years.

I think we've got too many players. Can we have Guardiola back please?
