If he wants that then he will have to run his contract out. And risk an injury to scupper any move in the meantime

Or he takes what a club who are paying a not inconsiderate transfer fee offers and has the opportunity to win a pot or two this year

He's a top class defender and the rumours of him being wanted by all of the top team at home and abroad back that up.

Pay the wedge and get him in - I thought this before the injury issues of the last week - it's vital now.

Not getting him is a serious failing from the sporting director and the relevant people involved - we are still one of the top clubs in world football with the best manager in the world - if we were serious I can't see him turning us down.

I don't know if we will sign guehi or not, but there's something about his character i dont think quite fits us. Maybe I am wildly wrong and he's a sound lad. But I have my doubts.
