Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

From what I could see on a pretty dodgy stream the lad had a pretty decent debut.
He started off a bit shaky (which is to be expected) and at one point I was shouting at the pixelated blobs on my screen to stop passing the ball to him and putting him under pressure. With hindsight, maybe they were doing the right thing in getting him more involved.
As the game wore on he seemed to grow in confidence and made some important tackles and clearances.
All in all, I reckon he can be pretty pleased with his debut.

The commentators were making out that he was shit.
However I dont know who they were watchin cos he had a decent game from what I saw and should definately get another chance.
He did quite well for me.

Most impressed in all aspects - heading, tackling (the one in the box was classy) and coming away with the ball -seems a natural CB

Thought he had a really promising debut.
Won most of his headers, attacked the ball when defending corners/crosses, strong in the tackle.
He looked a little nervous when in possession, but that's to be expected on a debut. Reminded me of when Nedum first broke into the team.

Yes RH, i also heard the commentators havin go at him for the 1st 25mins.Assoles.
He played very well and give credit to the gaffer for giving him the ideal opposition to make his debut.
Wether he will get more games this season remains to be seen.
MOTM for me yest.

Solid 8/10 for me, bit nervous with the ball early. Then again it's not hard since at CB Micah is still refusing to take the responsibility of taking the ball forward hitting it sideways or back to Shay.
Some of the tackles he made were sheer class and he seemed quite at home repelling the attack, think he's got a ton of potential off that showing.
Tracking back is overrated.

After he made that perfect tackle in the area, he grew in confidence and won almost everything.
Looks a good prospect for future but harder at the minute with different defence each week.

It was ridiculous. He even did a beautiful step-round a forward with the ball and the idiot said 'Boyata looking shaky again'.
Mind you they were also determined 'City could be in trouble', like they are with any Premier teams who haven't scored in the first 15 minutes. Thought the first half commentary was some of the worst I'd heard. Was it ESPN feed?
Boyata was bloddy good for me, for a first run-out. Even though he had no opposition of course.

Stats from the OS;
5 Clearances
1 Interception
46 out of 53 passes completed
Not too shoddy!

he has a bright future for sure. Good many timely tackles. Mancini left him on the field for 90 min. Love it.

Good debut. Will almost certainly have to rely on him against the Rags but that doesn't worry me on the basis of what he showed yesterday.

Off the ball he was commanding enough and kept the ball away from the correct places however he was dodgy on the ball but to be fair it was his debut he was gonna be nervous as FUCK.

would not say it dont worry me, if bacon plays the little potatohead Boyata could be in for a torrid evening.
the phrases "thrown in at the deep end" and "sink or swim" come to mind.

Yeah that's worrisome you could tell how nervous he was he wouldn't pass forward only backwards and to the side.

Very impressed he looked decent on the ball and had a cool head, also got in with a quality tackle in the second-half otherwise that Emnes would have been in.

Good game, nice to know there is another option there but I wouldn't play him against the filth, too much too soon could ruin him before he gets going.

He could, or he could come out of it as a "hero" and potentially one of the best future Prem CBs. I have faith in him, should be necessary to play him.
