Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!
by CITYTILLIDIE11 » Fri Sep 18, 2009 1:00 am
I think Ferguson smells the blood of a wounded animal in his nostrils, he feels comfortable describing us as “cocky” in the newspapers. In my opinion a deliberate attempt by him to up the anti prior to Sundays kick off.
Would he have made the same remarks facing a full strength City attack, spear headed with the on fire Adebayor along side Tevez and Robinho in midfield, I think not, like I said he rightly senses we are wounded.
Ferguson should remember one thing though as he perfects the dark art of psychology it can backfire spectacularly, I remember 1989 when nobody gave us a prayer, the rest as we all know is History.
In my eyes we can’t lose this Derby anyway. If they win then they have beaten a side devoid of its 3 star players, (a hollow victory). we win then we did it with out our 3 best players.
Some of our best performances come in the face of adversity
regardless though I just hope we give a good account of our selves on Sunday that will do for me “Superbia in Proelio”

if bellamy just does insane so much, we might get a result.
Berbatov wins golden boot, spends following season on the bench while his team loses title on goal difference. Well played, Fergie.

The problem with Taggart's mind games is that people acknowledge what he says.
Just ignore the senile drunken old tosser...
I KNOW THAT YOU BELIEVE THAT YOU UNDERSTOOD WHAT YOU THINK I WROTE, BUT I AM NOT SURE YOU REALISE THAT WHAT YOU READ IS NOT WHAT I MEANT

The fact he is even playing these games with us should speak louder than everything he says. We may be small minded, cocky and arrogant but he sees us as a very real threat and that much he can't disguise through his little jibes.

Well, we may be wounded, but that may be our biggest strength.

For those clubs that he thinks he can steamroller...Taggart always has a nice word.
When he starts to make negative remarks, it is because of FEAR.
He well understands the dire financial straits the rags are in and knows we will inevitably overtake them.
It's just a matter of how soon....Maybe this Sunday is the day...In front of him at his swamp.

He should know better than to call Adebayor "boy"

From memory he's usually played down the derby games, even using words like "respect" on previous occasions...... Now we are under his skin big time which is great, keep that blood pressure up!
Derby aside, if we manage 6 points over them this season and or come close or above them in the league Baconface will retire just so he can say "there was only one team in Manchester when i was manager" such is his ego.

I don't take cocky as an insult. More a compliment actually. All good teams are cocky because they have earnt the right to be so.
Ferguson always has a good word to say about a team he knows he will beat or a good word for a Villa, Everton or Spurs after they have beat them. The fact that he is feeling the need to play a few mind games with us is a back handed compliment.
He genuinely fears us, and so he should.

So let me get this right. He says that we're a small minded club with a small mentality who only talk about United.
Now he's saying we're 'cocky'?
Maybe it's just a reference to The Schlong who will no doubt be playing in Sundays game.
Has the world gone mad, ..............or is it me?
