Think we'd be chasing Leicester for it for sure as some of the silly games we threw away we'd have got points.
I haven't a fecking clue what I'm doing! Gillie come back man I want my sig back. As the Photobucket thingy gone?

Haha, we struggled against the top 6 when he was in the side so I'm not sure how much difference he would've made.

Impossible to say really, I'm just glad we have him back, quality player.

If ifs and buts were pots and pans there'd be no need for tinkers.

But without doubt, had we had KDB and Kompany and Silva all season the way Leicester have had Vardy, Mahrez, Huth, Morgan, Kante, Drinkwater all season, we would have done better than what we have done. But that is sport. You get injuries, you have players not at their best, you have refereeing decisions go against you. You deal with your hand each game and give Leicester their due, they have had better game by game management than us.

I dare say Arsenal and the rags can also claim they have had injury problems as well. Our problem has been against the sides around us. Had we been more pragmatic we might not have lost twice to spuds, picked up one point against Leicester and rags, lost twice to the dippers. This is where the league was lost IMO, not the loss of a few players

Just asking the question because he is the complete midfielder.

its very hard to say but we could have had 9-12 more points than we have now, we might have been still in with a shout.

I reckon we'd be second and putting a lot more pressure on The Foxes. They'd crack for sure.

I think we'd be chasing the Foxes at least. However, one could argue that in the league he's been a bit hit and miss against the big teams. Over the two legs against PSG he's made a creative difference, coming back from injury as well. In the league... I don't know if we can say that he's been as good against our main rivals.

Proper question though and proper thread.

Our form was shit even before his injury. In fact, our initial blip seemed to coincide with his signing.

No but with he and Kompany fit we wouldn't be worrying about CL qualification that's for sure.

Don't think it would come down to any one player being fit, even Vinny.
The problem this season has been attitude IMO.
Put any variation of the team that played last night, with the same workrate and team ethic and I dare say we'd be a lot closer.
A lot of mistakes made this year, not least by Pellers.
The squad may not be as deeply talented as we thought, but it's a lot better than 15 points behind Leicester.
The effort shown in the league has been poor at times.
Not too late to put it right and cement our position in next season's CL.

He's close to complete. Another year or so of getting into this league and a bit more strength in the tackle and this lad can be anything he wants to be. That includes the Balon D'or too. He's brilliant. He's always in space and you can't teach that.

i think if he and Vincent had stayed fit for most of the season then yes we would have jogged past everyone and blew a salty, greasy beer/meat fart in their faces as we passed them by.

cheers
