Wanna shake hands??

Postby Blueboylewis » Fri Dec 11, 2009 10:12 pm

Have a look at this cheeky clip. Listen to it carefully though and it is right at the start. A cheeky Journalist asking Hughes if he wants to shake hands lol. I found it quite good myself. Doug should remember that time when i went training with him and i said to mark, How was your fall at Blackburn? And his simple reply was "I dont know what your talking about" and with a little grin he walks away haha.

Anyway, What do people think of the handshake debate? Should managers be allowed to shake hands with who they want or is it just a form of being etiquite and shaking hands with the opposing manager wherver if you win or lose?

Here is the cheeky clip-

I remember your quip Lewis and my memory was that if there hadnt been a fence in the way Hughes might have slapped you :)

Just has a might when you told me we had better not lose against Palace.

Shaking hands after a game is the done thing, I played rugby for years and we used to knock shit out of each other on the pitch , and what ever happened during the game was forgotten about as soon as the final whistle is blown . It is unsporting and childish not to shake hands .

I agree with that, but I dont think I could shake hands with someone like ronaldo after united had beaten us in a manchester derby, say, after he'd dived to get a free kick which won them the game (e.g. the swamp derby last year!) It kind of pisses me off when a player has played shit / or we've been cheated and there all smiles/laughing after the match. Kind of like tevez was at the swamp derby this year. Palling about with them all like he wasnt arsed we'd just lost in 98 minutes.
