Correct.
Let's get back to this when Pellegrini is lifting the title and Ferran and Beguiristain are picking up their winners medals. Until then bold statements like that are well premature. As was proved yesterday, there's loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong way to go.
Not really. The rags lost opening games plenty of times and won countless trophies so yesterday proved nothing.
Or the Newcastle game proves the opposite?
The whole point is that it is too soon to make those calls! Replacing Mancini was only the correct move if their replacement is up to the job. Will be a good while before we know that and citing shite in the press about Mancini's final days (there is plenty of counter-shite around, see Aguero's interview this week as an example) is not evidence of a correct move. It is way, way too soon to judge whether their signings strategy will be successful too.
I'd only just read that Aguero interview and it seems to contradict a few things that were said about Mancini. I'm sure there were a few dissenters but not as wide spread as we were led to believe.
