I think this would be a fucking stunning move if the US franchise could pull it off. Not sure how it would benefit us financially just yet, but he is the ideal person to front it over there.

No way is he the ideal person. He's thick and a cnut of the highest order. He and his matchstick wife put themselves first. He would be a disaster in the making.

LOL.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

It's as though Darth Bacon's arse being planted on that seat at the swamp generates some sort of global, sinister force that's kept these past-it twats like Beckham and Scholes lumbering on for years for no good reason. The second he decides to fuck off the the pub for good, they all wilt and throw it in.

I'm a bit apprehensive at that thought, conjurs up all sorts of visions!

This self-serving vomit-inducing twat Bechscum can fuck right off. I'm sure Sheiky wants nothing to do with him (nor him us), and I'm also pretty sure this 'franchise' is at the nearly-sewn-up stage not the tendering.

I can confirm that I neither know or care if this story is true. It has jack shit to do with Manchester City FC UK .... it would however be a fantastic move on the Shiekh part to aid his promotion of "soccer" along with all his other businesses

I wonder if this has anything to do with the fact that Beckham has a clause in his MLS contract that gives him the rights to start an MLS expansion team with an entry fee of $30 million. The NY expansion team has an expansion fee of a $100 million. I know the two markets that were excluded for Beckham were NY and LA. But there has always been talk that he would join an ownership group looking at starting an NY expansion team and the the NY expansion fee would come down.

Noel Gallagher: "I hated him when he played for United. Hated him. Hate. Proper hate. But luckily I met him when he'd left United and he's such a nice lad and he's a brilliant footballer."

That's why Liam is the better brother.
