I would put in a strong midfield, maybe Barry, Milner, Yaya, Silva and I wouldn't rule out going with just one striker.
I do however have a sneaky feeling Balo will start tomorrow!

You might be right with one of those thoughts!

And who won the league that year, I wonder.
Your right leg I like; I've got nothing against your right leg. The trouble is neither have you.

We need to watch what we are doing today, no diving in, no silly drag backs, just go out there and play the best game we can. It's a biggie.

If we lose, imo it doesn't put Chelsea back in the fight, it just gives the rags back the advantage they lost by losing to Norwich.

The fact that they won at Chelsea is a big 3 points in their favour over the course of the season & us getting that back would put us smack bang on course for another title imo.

The game today has suddenly become very very important me thinks !

Urmston piss head blues will be attending the Roebuck Hotel Urmston this afternoon :) :)

I woke up in August thinking that, & kept telling people on here. If we go to shit this season, rags will have another title & they will walk it.

It's hard to tell exactly what will happen now Rafa is there, though it's hard to imagine a change for the better. If he were to come up with some boring version of Chelsea which wins games 1-0 (& has David Luiz shot), I suppose they could theoretically mount a challenge but I would imagine they will draw too many games even then.

If he puts in a full on Rafa performance today though, we could find it difficult to score. Remember how dull some of the games were v Liverpool ? Di Matteo would have taken us on & we would have got shitloads of scoring chances.

My main worry today is Nasty & Lescott recreating their complete arse of a cb pairing that we saw v Villa in the League Cup. No understanding whatsoever (but Bob was also playing silly buggers tbf).

That's if Vinny is unavailable of course. I suppose he could go for Kolo in place of Lescott, in which case i expect a heavy defeat followed by a resignation.

there is litlle I may add to this very accurate preview, on which I totally agree.
on paper we are favourite as we are far better, and even if Vinnie might not make it, I will still be confident if we stick on our consolidated game plan with back four,
The very worst scenario I can think of is the regular Rafa's well packed set up, with us failing to break through and getting a late score in the arse on final minutes, also considering that omens go back to an almost same situation we faced last year for this fixture, when a win, largely deserved, would have put us in an almost unstoppable leading position.
Thinking of Foy will not help very much to relax on those omens.

Once stated such gut feeling: COME ON CITY, DO WIN IN STYLE!

God prevent us from Kolo, as suggested in what I can deem as a funny advanced rant: otherwise, the suggested "heavy defeat followed by a resignation" would turn up to be not so fictional.... I plainly agree also on that.

absolutely true, despite my spine shares the very same negative vibes of Beefy, well remembering what happened at the Bridge last year.
But even if, then, we may well turn up the balance winning at Norwich just before NYE.
Let's just hope we wont help Rafa and Foy by starting Kolo.... ;)
