According to the Daily Mail former Manchester City left back Michael Ball is having a trial at Wigan Athletic having been released by Mark Hughes in the summer and failing to win a contract at either Portsmouth or Notts County in the meantime.
The former Everton, Rangers and PSV Eindhoven player does have a wealth of experience having played 235 games at the top level plus he has 1 England cap, apparently there is a behind the scenes game arranged for the weekend when Ball will be assessed by Latics boss Roberto Martinez
Should Ball impress the Mail are suggesting that he could be Maynor Figueroa`s replacement with the Honduras international reportedly heading for Sunderland in the January transfer window.

I always liked Ball, and always thought he could cut it in the Premiership. Thankyou for that beautiful stamp on tranny and wish you the best!

Bally wasn't good enough for Notts County? Seriously?
Tracking back is overrated.

But good enough for Wigan, should tell us something about that point...or lack of three.

Another fine argument for this being the strangest prem in years. That said Wigan are one of those sides that look quite capable on there day this season, just like Sunderland. Still think we should have dicked em though.
Tracking back is overrated.

Good luck Bally. Get that contract. It'd be a good signing both ways.
Attack the argument of the person, not the person of the argument- except Carl.
