Got to disagree about him being best bombing forward though. Micah is on fire in that department
Never criticise a man until you've walked a mile in his shoes.
That way when you do criticise him you'll be a mile away.
And you'll have his shoes.

I think we've been pretty solid overall at fullback. Zabaleta is probably the one who most could point to as to having made the least memorable contributions thus far (both positive and negative, offensive and defensive) but he's done nothing wrong. Agree that Kolarov and Micah have given the most noteworthy offensive contributions but Clichy for me has looked so comfortable and unruffled in all he has done.

No matter who is better, long life to the manager who kept both replacing Wayne "Over Troubled Water" Bridge!
The word 'wonderful', a royal succession cliché and a Simon and Garfunkel reference used as an insult - and all in a two-line post.
This guy needs to be legendised, mates.

Kolarov could be trained to be a left winger. He is absolutely fantastic at bombing forward and has a better delivery than Clichy. His set pieces are always a threat aswell.

I suggested trying him as a wide midfielder last season, which Bob did immediately after I'd said it & he was fucking pants. Might be worth trying it again though, as his attacking game has really gone up a level this season.

Aye he was pants when he did that. He really is the old fashioned wingback. He seems to have found another yard of pace this season though.

I think the problem is that he's not very good in tight areas with the ball at his feet & he needs a couple of yards to pick up speed. He's excellent in exploiting the space which players like Silva or Nasri create when they drag fullbacks to the center though & I guess that's what Mancini's looking for.

I thought Clichy was outstanding yet again yesterday. I don't think he has had a bad game all season and although he isn't maybe quite a threat going forward as Micah, he is very sound defensively and gave the Newcastle wide players nothing. An unsung hero

Or maybe he was never as slow as some were trying to make out.
