true that - am only just getting used to saying daveed and not "dave".

why aren't we looking for players called something sensible, like "arkwright", or "crompton".

I could also see this happening.. I kind of doubt it will though. If it did then I would imagine that it would not be one of the major signings and he would be brought in a little like grandpa was.. to add the experience, boost the options for the CL games and extra cover for the season. ie, not expected to be a mainstay player. In fact I would say that it might be more for what he would bring to the club behind the scenes as much as anything. His time is limited with Barca now, but still a very good player.
